Release Dates Have Been Shuffled and Results from LEGO Ideas Blacksmiths Competition!

No, we aren't cancelling anything today, but we are looking at some of our current timelines and realize that some of our incoming projects need more time to complete. We also have some contest results to cover, so there's plenty of news to cover!

LEGO Ideas Blacksmiths Competition Results

The results are in for LEGO Ideas' competition What If: Blacksmith Brickfilms, and while Without a Blacksmith did not win any prizes, we would like to congratulate the three winners, which you can see here. These three films were great entries, and we're glad that they received the recognition that they deserve.

On The Theme Park Loop Now Releasing May 1!

In a slight bit of disappointing, but interesting, news, On The Theme Park Loop, the new show that was supposed to debut on April 19, with its trailer originally coming on April 1, has now all been pushed back to May 1. This is partially to celebrate the reopening of California's theme parks, but also, as you'll see below, this is also a new content push for the show upon its debut. With the show being hosted on its own YouTube Channel, we want this channel to have a decent amount of content upon its opening, since we are going to submit the show to become part of the Theme Park Tube community that same day. Therefore, here is everything that will be available upon the launch of the show.

  • Channel Trailer (a version edited for our core fans will also debut on the main channel at the same time)
  • Episodes 01-03
In total, the channel will have four videos at launch, something that will take longer than anticipated to complete. While you may be upset at this change, we hope that you understand that this is for the best. However, this delay does cause another delay.

Merchandise Event for New Store Now Debuting May 28!

Due to the new debut time for On The Theme Park Loop, the merchandise event for the new store has been pushed back to May 28, when we plan on having designs ready to showcase. However, we ARE ready to announce how we plan on selling our merchandise! Say hello to TeePublic, an online custom apparel shop that supports artists and the work they create. Their policies support our sustainability commitment from earlier this month and they take the hassle of managing sales out of our hands, allowing us to divert resources more evenly. In spite of this schedule change and because of this partner that we have selected, the store is still on track to debut on July 1.

The Holy Land Paragon Delayed to 2022 - 2024 Release!

However, we are dismayed to report that, due to massive revisions to the core story, The Holy Land Paragon has been delayed from its September 1, 2021 release to "anytime between next year and the end of Twenty Years Young. Not only is our current official description now woefully inaccurate to the new story, but the general plot has changed course several times in the span of one month! We're still focusing on the story of Deborah and the Holy Land region for our context, but now the story is in the process of shifting again. Due to these complications, as well as giving more creative freedom should the book warrant a sequel, the only detail that has been confirmed is that the book will NOT be canonical to the cinematic universe, as was decided by the story team. On top of the other, higher-priority, projects that we have, it comes as no surprise that this delay has occurred. We will keep you informed of any news.

All Other Release Dates Currently are Unaffected!

It is worth mentioning, however, that these are the only release dates affected at this time. All of our other release dates (which after this year are really just time frames) are currently unaffected. You will still be able to experience Ninjago: Master of Fear on August 13, Venomosa: The Bounty of Billy may arrive on its predicted June 26 release date (BRAWL permitting), and Alms Pouch: Finished At Last! will make its grand debut on November 12!

Lead Out

While some of this news may be saddening, remember that this is all for the best, as we strive to provide a quality product for the masses to enjoy. And it could have been worse: we could have cancelled projects instead!
