Studio Update: Happy St. Patrick's Day and a New Poll

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; March 17, 2012)      Today is St. Patrick's Day, which brings us to another studio update. Let's get started!      To start, Gone Ice Fishin' now has an official release date. "I am so glad that we are finally going to get this film done," said Steve Brocko, head of the studio's traditional animation department. "We've been working on it for over 5 months now and the development has been problematic at best." Currently, the plan is to release the film on June 1st, though some delays may occur. In addition, because of some issues, the release for Guard Dog has been pushed off to June 1st.      Also, the first phase of Project Proofread has been completed! If you haven't read the old press releases recently, be sure to check them out to see all of the changes that have been made! The second phase, which will include spell-checking all of the descriptions for our films, will begin in two weeks.

As a special treat, both the next Tales of the Adventurers and the Vacation: Unlimited contest video will be released later today.      However, today, another big announcement was made. When the next website expansion was revealed, it was noted that a major From the Vaults re-release would have its own page. Today, it was revealed that this re-release is a filming of the Cornerstone Thespian Society play Mystery at Shady Acres . "When the play was first put on in 2007, the competition tried to overshadow it, which more or less pushed this film out of the spotlight," said LEGO Studios CEO Ma

HollywoodLego writes: I'm a patient man and can wait a few years for the movie [ Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients ], but something struck me. This might sound like a stupid question, but what if the making of Johnny Thunder 3 goes so well, you could release it early. I'm not saying when it will come out, I'm just saying production and filming go well for you guys, right? Mark: That is a fascinating idea to ponder, but I seriously doubt that we'll get Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients done ahead of schedule. We've started to fall behind schedule again, and I am insistent that we get the next scene filmed this week. Also, at 131 pages, it's our longest script yet, so we really want to spend time on getting it right. After all, you wouldn't want us to rush the fi
