Archive Collections: A Record of Cameras

Image
By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; June 16, 2014)      To apologize for the delay in the release of our upcoming Extreme Vacationing Contest into July (we still have work to do for both Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients  and The Central Florida Experience), we would now like to give out another Archive Collections! Let's get started!      How could you ever get any film made without the proper equipment? Yes, lights and film are important, but we're talking about the most important piece of equipment on-set: the camera! Throughout the years, we've used a wide variety of cameras to get the right shot, from large analog camcorders to compact webcams, with the variety always changing to match changing technology. With that said, let's look at all of the cameras we've used over the last ten years! Studio Update: Love and Johnny Thunder 3's Release Date are in the Air

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; June 8, 2014)      There has been lots of recent activity at the studio, which we would like to cover in this quick update. Let's get started!      First off, after a year after getting engaged, Lauren Hoxie, who is known for playing Pippin Reed Thunder in the Johnny Thunder films, was officially married yesterday to Andrew Adkins, who will be playing Dash Justice in Alpha Team: Mission Deep Jungle  and Steven Sever in Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients . Congratulations to both of them and we hope that they have a wonderful life together. In other news, Jim Freeman and Amy Guo, whom played Legoman and Jing Lee at The Second Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards  respectively, are now engaged to be married at an unannounced time.      Speaking of our Johnny Thunder films, the long and grueling editing period for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients  may delay the release of the said film

Headquarters; June 4, 2014) 30009: Running of the Bulls      While Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients  chugs towards completion, the promotional Project U-Build Play Set Adventures has received a tweak. Because they are falling behind schedule, the remaining three wave 1 sets, Ruins of the Scorpion Village, Attack on the Nile, and The Battle for Xi'an, will be released at the same time as the wave 2 sets for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients . In addition to this, the fall wave has been scaled back to only include the two sets based on Attack of the Fifty-Foot Hamster . Now the order of sets will be as follows: 30008: Fish Guardian Attack 30009: Running of the Bulls 30010: Black Church 30011: The Jungle Chase 30012: Escape from the Train 30013: The Chamber of the Hidden Mysteries 30014: Billy's Attic Lab 30015: Attack on Downtown 40000: Collectible Characters Series 1 However, if you jus

Studio Update: Happy Summer, Johnny Thunder 3, Jolly Roger Re-Release, Central Florida, and More.

By: Andrew Bermudez (LEGO Studios; June 1, 2014)      For many, summer vacation has started, which means great news for our fan base: plenty of time to participate in our contests, watch our previous films, and anticipate the release of our upcoming films! With that, more news has surfaced about happenings here at the studio. Here we go!      First off, the filming for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients  is almost done! "We have very little left to film," said director Steven Lawrence. "However, the huge set is taking forever to build. We're going to have to film on the other sets first for this last location before filming on the mega set." Filming is set to be completed by the middle of the month, with a planned release on July 18.      While filming is set to conclude right on schedule, editing is going to be tight. "Since this is a massive project, editing is taking longer than we hoped. Fortunately, we haven't had any technical

All New Ask Mark Matthew!

By: Andrew Bermudez (LEGO Studios; June 1, 2014)      Today we bring you another 'Ask Mark Matthew,' containing 100% new material! Let's get started! New Lego Studios Productions writes: Is this [ Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients ] like a conclusive episode? or are you going to make more? Mark: No. We actually plan to make six Johnny Thunder films, since there is so much that can be done with the character. However, we will be taking a sort-of break from these films in order to get the ten films for Project U made. New Lego Studios Productions: Oh, great! I only hope you didn't plan a Johnny Thunder vs Jake Raines one, as thats what I have in mind... By the way... I never understood whether you've set your Johnny Thunder movies in current time, is that true? Mark: Yes. We set our Johnny Thunder films in the present because one of the most prevalent cliches of the adventure genre is a 1920's to 1940's setting. We wanted to break out of th
