Today, we're bringing you an all-new, re-tooled Ask Mark Matthew! We're changing up the formatting to not only show where each comment originated, we're also going to be responding to more general thoughts and comments! In the past, we would only respond to questions formatted as such, but no more! We want to address your concerns, no matter what they may be, so this change we feel is for the better! And, as always, the content is 100% new! Let's get started!

Johnny Thunder and the Wonders Beneath the Waves Reveal Teaser:

Sergent WarShorts writes: Can't wait! I just finished the other three and now I'm hooked.
Mark: Glad to hear that you're enjoying the Johnny Thunder saga! While it is going to take some time before Johnny Thunder and the Wonders Beneath the Waves is released, we do have some alternatives to keep you interested while you wait. First, both Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo and  Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile will be re-released as special editions during Digital Decade with all-new audio, effects, and more. Also, the original short story Johnny Thunder and the Winter Vessel will be included as part of the upcoming book Crazy Compendium. However, if you are looking for more Johnny Thunder-related content currently available, I want to direct you to the game The Lost Ruby: An Interactive Adventure. It's a fun adventure game where YOU get to join Johnny Thunder on an adventure!

Elias Jackson writes: I know this is going to be awesome.
Mark: We certainly want it to be! We're currently experimenting with new ways to bring the underwater world of the Bermuda Triangle to life with both digital and practical animation techniques. In addition, the film is going to be a critical turning point for Project U, so if you follow that story, it'll be great!

Alpha Team: Mission Deep Jungle:

Alex Brunner: I hope u make another Alpha Team movie.
Mark: Another Alpha Team film, Alpha Team: Mission Deep City, is currently in the works. We do not have a release time at the moment, but it will be released after the Project U film Van Helbrick and the Monster Fighters.

Mark: I'll think about it...in a year or so. I'll probably forget about this by then, anyway.

The Adventures of Legoman:

Alex Brunner writes: Hey Andrew Bermudez I’m a big fan and I was wondering if you’ll ever use LEGO man again in a film?
Mark: I'm glad that you really enjoy our content so much! To answer your question, we already have! He's one of the major characters in the popular and highly-acclaimed Police Show Contest winner A Friend of the Police.

YoDboyYo writes: awesome why so much alliteration
Mark: We wanted to give The Adventures of Legoman a feel that was different from Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo. The alliteration was one way of doing that. It just fits the wackiness of Legoman, anyway.

Present Here writes: This is nice, could you make something with Legoman, with of course a different villain, like ClayMan, K-nexMan, or try to at least put Legoman and Johnny Thunder together in a pointless scene. Try to make more logical stuff. How can there be a rubber chicken made of gold?
Mark: We do have more Legoman with A Friend of the Police, as well as the upcoming film Legends of the Universe. As for logic, in a film where trick tulips can make people speechless, cotton candy can incapacitate police cruisers, and silly string can tie up guards, I think a rubber chicken made of gold is the least of your worries.

A Future in the Past Reveal Teaser:

Bart van Oosterhout writes: Thanks for not forgetting Time Cruisers. It doesn't get enough love.
Mark: No problem! We actually decided to make a film based on the Time Cruisers LEGO sets after a major survey that we held back in 2012, where the said theme performed surprisingly well.

Backstage Showcase Episode 27 - The New Ogel:

VezonWireless writes: Neat that Dylan Johnson was willing to reprise his role from another fan film! Internet makes everything so convenient.
Fascinating how the character of Ogel lends itself to different interpretations, especially since he has little backstory or motivation in the official LEGO story. Your Ogel is one that is motivated by revenge, a strong need to prove himself to those who previously denied him. My own take on Ogel is one that is a firm believer in the "Hobbes Was Right" trope, seeing himself as a necessary evil who has to control humanity in order to enforce peace and unity.
Mark: I think that is the beauty of multiple minds adapting the same source material. It allows for multiple interpretations of certain characters and settings while showing reverence for the original source material. It's also worth mentioning that Ogel is far from being the only character that we've reinterpreted for our cinematic universe. Another great example of this would have to be our Johnny Thunder, who is actually pretty different from the original version.

Forest of Fear:

Bernardo Ensoli writes: nice but lego pharahon's quest the curse of amest ra coming this december
Mark: It was when this comment was written, but we've just announced that we had to push back the release date into 2018 due to tight schedules and quality control. We hope that you enjoy the film when it is released!

Gillan Baclayon writes: I like how a town with Transylvanian culture (i.e, the vampire, the angry mobs) is set in modern day America. What's it called?
Mark: The name of the town is Howling Hollow.

That's it for today's edition of Ask Mark Matthew! Don't forget that if you have a question, comment, concern, or thought, post it where ever we'll be able to see it and respond. Until then, we'll be making movies!
