How "Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen" Fits into the Official Canon

In a slight twist today, we're going to step back from reporting on news today and instead take a look at how Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen fits into the official Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Cinematic Universe!
As you may know, yesterday was the official online re-release for Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen (watch it here) and that, like many of our other films, is part of our official cinematic universe. However, you might be think that, since this film takes place in 1792, it doesn't bear any relevance on our other films. Actually, it does have some relevance! Let's see where Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen connects to our other films!
Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients - This connection is probably the most obvious. Remember how Roger Goodman found that cursed ring in the cave on Treasure Island? Well, according to the official canon, Roger Goodman kept that ring with him until his dying day. You see, after he tells the story of his exploits in 1844 (as The Old Pirate), he decides to assemble a crew for one last voyage: find the hiding place of the fabled Hidden Mysteries. He did manage to get inside the cave by digging, but since he didn't have any of the portal keys and his crew had marooned him on Easter Island, he was unable to access the portal or escape. Because of this, he starved to death inside the cave, clutching the ring in his hand that would later be picked up by Patrick Hooligans in 2014. Therefore, the ring actually is cursed, but it won't affect the curse bearer until very late in that person's life.
Alpha Team: Mission Deep Jungle - You know how Long John Sliver was trying to throw off Sarah Huffington by telling her that there is an island that's shaped like an elephant that's actually Treasure Island? It turns out that this decoy Treasure Island actually exists! No, there's no treasure on it (as far as we know), but just south of there is a rocky, spire-like island where, in 1998, Alpha Team established their headquarters. Because of this, the island that is visible through the briefing room window is the same island that Long John directs Sarah and her crew towards!
New Friends ~ An Environmental Fable - Probably the strongest connection that this film has to Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen is that both feature the exploration of uncharted lands (canonically, the two films' events are separated by 285 years). However, at one point in Sarah Huffington's youth, she had read briefly about Captain Miguel's voyage through the Indian Ocean and shortly romanticized about the grand adventures that he and his crew must have had (remember that this is before 1833, the year that Penny Magazine published its article about dodos and human-induced extinction). However, she eventually panned over this story, as she was more interested in books about pirates.
For the time being, these are the existing connections that exist in the cinematic universe, but as time goes on, more are sure to appear! Now it's time to celebrate the rest of Ten Years at the Sail!
