All is merry and bright this Holiday season, and today two brand new films, A Battle to Remember and Seeing Eye Robber, were released for your entertainment. You can check them both out on our re-imagined YouTube channel by clicking on the "Videos" tab. During their screenings over the past week, both films were well received by their audiences. "We are confident that they will be big hits now that both films have been released publicly," said Lego Studios CEO Mark Matthew.
However, Mark Matthew and head of the traditional animation department, Steve Brocko, had some bad news. "Gone Ice Fishin' has been delayed into next year," lamented Mark Matthew. Steve then noted, "We did have plans to release it today, but the light bulbs in our light desks burned out, and we're currently working to replace them." This left some reporters in shock. "You still use light desks?" asked one young reporter.
However, with the sorrow came some new announcements. Mark stated, "Today, we not only released the next Tales of the Adventurers comic, but we also have news of a new Flash game coming next year. Back at our Halloween party, it was noted that the game would be based on an animation from earlier in the year and a song stuck in Andrew's head. Well, that animation is An Afternoon at the Zoo and that song is Chimpanzee Riding on a Segway. By blending the two together, we are proud to showcase Zoo Flight."
The game's crazy nature shows up in these concept sketches for the game by Andrew Bermudez.
"In this new game, you play as the chimpanzees that break themselves out of the zoo cage at the end of An Afternoon at the Zoo. They hop on a parked segway and try to escape the zoo by dodging trees, strollers, trash cans, chairs, gift stands, and more." The studio expects to have the game ready by the Summer. But until then, here is a link to the song that inspired the game. Just click, listen, and have the song stuck in your head all day long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPGUIpv-JxI
Also, don't forget about The Lost Ruby: An Interactive Adventure, which comes out later this month! In addition to that, Gone Ice Fishin' will be released in January along with The Roulette Match, Plankton Strikes Back!, and Plankton: Burner of Books, all of which are part of From the Vaults. From there, more From the Vaults content will be released until Summer 2014, which is when Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients will be released.
