Studio Update: Filming Continues and Another Comic Coming Soon!

Work at the studio has stepped up recently with the refurbishment of the propertary department. But that isn't the only news for today. There's a lot to cover today, so let's get started!
Out in the rural, kudzu-filled, forests of Georgia, filming for Forest of Fear continues. Right now, as shown in the provided picture, the scene currently being filmed is one with the angry mob and the werewolf. "I knew from day 1 that the angry mob had to work properly, since it's a major part of the movie," said director Seth Masterson. "Otherwise, most of the film falls flat on its face." After this short scene in the forest, the next scene that will be filmed is the one where the windmill burns down.
Also, over at Bricksinmotion.com, a new contest has started called Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long 2011, or BRAWL 2011. The studio will not release anything for this contest, but if you are a member of Bricksinmotion.com, be sure to head on over to check out the rules, theme, and mod elements. Happy filming!
In other news, work has started on the next "Tales of the Adventurers" comic, which will come out by the end of the month. Like all of the recent comics, this one will pick up where the last one left off. And, as always, don't forget to try out the challenge when it becomes available!
In addition, the notion of making Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients a 3-D movie is moving closer to reality. Director Steven Lawrence noted, "We just have to cross a few technical barriers before we can make Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients a 3-D film. The problem is, we have to get it done before we begin filming on September 3rd of this year. If all goes according to plan, we will have our first 3-D movie."
Finally, the holiday greeting cards have been canceled. "We just don't have the time to do them," said Lego Studios CEO Mark Matthew. "What we really need to focus on this holiday season is Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients. However, if there is another twenty-four hour animation contest this Holiday season, we might participate in that."
As for release dates, Forest of Fear will haunt your way October 7th, 2011 and Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients will be revealed Summer 2014.
