Record Set by 'Secret of Marco Polo' Has Been Broken!

When it came out in August of 2008, Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo set the record for longest brickfilm. At 99 minutes, it had taken the record that the 74-minute film Star Wars: the Great Disturbance had held. No other brickfilmer had succeeded at matching, let alone surpassing, that record... until now.
Back on January 8th, 2010, a new brickfilm, called The Ice Storm broke the record at 107 minutes. Released by Behind the Mind Films, The Ice Storm is an apocalyptic thriller that chronicles the advent of a new ice age, where mechanical creatures are freezing the world as survivors race for the equator. Will they be able to stop this menace? Find out for yourself through this link to the first part. The other parts can be accessed via related videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32jFfqmAEkM
In other news, a defect in the motherboard for the studio's computer system has brought all studio activities to a standstill. "With the motherboard frying all of our graphics cards and temporarily freezing the picture every now and then just to get back up to speed, I'm surprised I didn't see this coming before," said Alvaro Chavez, the studio's computer technician and mechanic.
Also, in Egypt, the cast and crew for Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile is heading up the Nile to the next filming location. "It's kind of nice to leave Cairo, since we had been there for so long. Even though it was fun to film the bus chase, I felt kind of cooped up there. Now, however, the expanse of the Egyptian desert gives me a sense of escapism," stated camera assistant Peter Jacobs.
Finally, the script for Forest of Fear has been coming together quite nicely. However, there is one catch: writer Peter Samuel forgot to print it out. And since the motherboard is dead, there is almost nothing he can do to get it back. "I heard Alvaro is going to try to replace the motherboard," stated Peter. "However, it that doesn't work and we must get a new system, I can at least retype the script using the rough draft."
As for expected release dates, Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile is scheduled to debut July 16th, 2010 and Forest of Fear may come out October 8th, 2010.

  1. The Ice Storm may be longer, but Johnny Thunder is better.
