'Forest of Fear' has Arrived!

Image
By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; October 21, 2011)      After a long 2-year development period (unusually long for an 18-minute film), Forest of Fear has finally been released. At the premiere, the cast and crew was in attendance, as well as invited VIPs. Among these VIPs was the original director, Barry Hallows. Before going in, he got a picture with the film's final director, Seth Masterson. Afterwards, he declared that he loved the movie. "This was just a wonderful movie, with all of the monsters, colorful characters, and great ending. I can certainly say that this may be one of the best films I've seen this Halloween season," said Barry. "Even though we're sad to not have Barry direct the film, the input that he gave during development is what I give credit to for making this film the way it is today," said Lego Studios CEO Mark Matthew.      Now that Forest of Fear has been released and submitted into Festival of Souls 2, it is now...

Studio Update: A Big and Busy Fall Season is Here!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; October 8, 2011)      Even though Fall technically started back in September, the studio's planned fall season has arrived! Besides the main focus of this season, which is Forest of Fear , the studio also has plans for at least one major project each month. Here is the Fall (and Holiday) line-up for the remaining three months of the year:      October: October kicked off with the release of Freddy and Joey in Corn Farm (Animatic) . During this month, on the 21st, the film everyone is excited about, Forest of Fear , will make its debut. However, because it is being released for the Festival of Souls 2 contest, all parts of the film will be released simultaneously. Also this month, two more Tales of the Adventurers comics will be released.      November: Next, things will begin to feel colder. At least, our November (or, should I say Novemburr) film will. Titled Gone Ice Fishin' , thi...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; September 23, 2011)      With substantial work being conducted on Lego Studios' three major projects, Forest of Fear , More Than Meets the Eye , and Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients , the time has come to announce another, but final, delay for Forest of Fear . "We will be entering this film into Festival of Souls 2 on BricksinMotion.com," said director Seth Masterson. "Judging by the criteria, we may not necessarily win, but we just want to get the film out to even more viewers. Because of this, the film will now be released on October 21st."      Until then, Seth Masterson would also like to share some shots from the movie to get everyone excited for its release. The monster and werewolf fight.  It's a horror movie, so guess what happens to the windmill.  The crew on location filming the Howling Hollow shots. The redneck angry mob goes after the monster. ...

Filming for 'Forest of Fear' is Done!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Rural Georgia; September 7, 2011)      With exactly one month to go before the film is released, the filming for Forest of Fear officially wrapped up today. Currently, the cast and crew is spending the rest of the day in Atlanta, Georgia. Tomorrow, they will go to the airport and fly home. "It was quite an honor to direct this film," said director Seth Masterson. "All I can hope is that the audience has as much fun watching it as I did directing it."      Also, a very special invitation to the film's world premiere was sent out to a very special VIP "Since Barry Hallows was unable to direct the film," said Lego Studios CEO Mark Matthew, "we decided to make it up to him by inviting him to the premiere. All New Ask Mark Matthew!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; September 5, 2011)      Last month, the first edition of Ask Mark Matthew went online. Today, we bring you an all new edition featuring 100% new material! Let's get started! Haduken221 writes: You should make a stop motion of Dino island or the amazon? Mark: We are working on a Dino island film, but it will NOT be Johnny Thunder 3. However, the amazon will be part of it but not be the whole film. The reason for this is that the Adventurers amazon sub-theme had very nice colors, structures and vehicles, but it didn't have enough story-wise to justify making a whole movie around it. That's why elements of it will appear in Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients. But enough said about that. The film is, after all, confidential. Themoviefreak1000 and Hollywoodlego both write: Now that I know that those comics are not going to be in the next Johnny Thunder movie, I'm wondering, will they be made into a real stop motion...

Studio Update: New Experimental Film and Website Expansion Coming Soon!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; August 24, 2011)      With the filming for Forest of Fear coming to a close, some new (and, because of the new policy, approved) projects were revealed earlier today.      First, the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Website will undergo its first major expansion this Fall. The expansion will include all-new information for Forest of Fear , a new page for the films Station 9 and Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse Fire , and an all-new forum. "What I realized is that, at the moment, becoming a member of the website has no meaning," said Lego Studios CEO Mark Matthew. "By including this forum, the fans can use this ability to become a member to chat with other fans and to share viewpoints on our films. Also, the reason that the fire tech documentaries will have their own page is to hold up their prestige. After all, the FDNY even complimented us for Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse Fire and, while I'm not trying to p...
