"On The Theme Park Loop" Has Been Cancelled! What This Means and More!

Image
By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; September 15, 2021)     In a piece of breaking news, the show that tried, On The Theme Park Loop  has ben cancelled! Today, we're going to pick apart what this announcement means and why this show is now over after only one episode. Why was  On The Theme Park Loop Cancelled?      We've been looking over this show that has slowed down tremendously in production, and have decided that it would not be beneficial to our brand to move forward with further episodes. There have been concerns internally about the handling of certain topics, as well as an overall lack of enthusiasm for the episodes, so we are now halting all further development. We also feel that it takes too much away from what we really are aiming to pursue. We hope that you understand our reasoning for this difficult decision. What will Happen to what Remains of the Show?     For the remainder of September, mostly nothing...

However, it's not for the reasons that you may think. All of this and more is covered in today's update! Ninjago: Master of Fear  Has Officially Been Cancelled!     It's sad to say, but our own celebration of Ninjago's tenth anniversary has been prematurely stopped. While we've historically announced too many projects in the past, then cancelled the ones that we could not complete, this cancellation came about due to a completely different set of circumstances. "The writing staff said that they couldn't get the script to work," said LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew. "The script tried to cram a season's worth of Ninjago-like storytelling into 12 minutes, which was already a tall order. We gave the order to simplify, simplify, simplify, but then there was...

Breaking News! "Art Demonstration Show" Has Been Cancelled!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; February 23, 2018)      It's no secret that Art Demonstration Show  is not popular at all. Because of that, this show has been cancelled. We've also got more news coming up, so read on! "Art Demonstration Show" Is No More!      Throughout its run, Art Demonstration Show  has only piqued the interest of a handful of fans per episode. We don't have the exact metrics for this disinterest, but we suspect that this show strayed too far away from what people want to see from us. Because of this, there will be no more episodes of Art Demonstration Show  released, including the planned how to draw episodes. In the coming weeks, a new channel trailer will be made to replace the existing one. However, the three existing episodes will remain online. Is "Forest of Fear 2" a Possibility?      Recently, we got this question from a new fan, who left it in the commen...

Delays in January Projects!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; January 7, 2018)      Unfortunately, we were not able to participate in THAC XV after all this year. This, with other updates to our January and Spring schedule, are covered in today's press release! No THAC XV Entry      Unfortunately, due to hectic conditions at the studio, we were not able to participate in this year's THAC contest. There is simply a giant mess at the studio, and almost all work has been halted just to get it cleaned up. In addition, there's still work to be done to get Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra  done, as well as When Barrels Fly: Special Edition . This meant that we had no time to participate. To compensate for this loss, we plan on participating in BRAWL 2018 this summer, as well as in THAC XVI in January 2019. It's not all bad news today, however. Next Backstage Showcase Episode Coming January 13!      Due to the aforemention...

We're looking to have the rest of the film out in late March-early April, but we have wonderful news for all of you: as an apology for the delays in the release of the next part, we're going to release the rest of the film on the same day! Studio Update: Getting Back to Work and Filming Begins for Big Project!

Image
By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; July 23, 2015)      Now that we have settled into our new location, we have returned to work on our multiple projects! Let's see what has been going on.      First, after long delays, work is picking back up for the comics Out of His Time , Journey to Siberia , and DINO Attack: Saga of a Conflict . For the last one, we are working closely with the RPG's writers to make this story as accurate as possible. The other two comics will continue their runs as currently scheduled.      In other news, filming has continued briskly for Alpha Team: Mission Deep Jungle ...until it was discovered that one of the trucks needed for tomorrow's shoot isn't ready yet. "The worst part is, we got word that it needs another week to be finished," said director Steven Lawrence. "We can't sit around waiting for someone else to fix their mistake, using up the studio's money. Mark Matthew will not b...

"Our Good Neighbor" Has Been Cancelled!

Image
By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; July 2, 2015)      Just one day after submitting the script for review, we have some news that surprised even us. The upcoming Darkness and Light entry Our Good Neighbor  has been cancelled! How this came about was actually kind of funny, according to resident scriptwriter Peter Samuel. "Yesterday, I sent the script to the producers to see what they thought of it. They hated it so thoroughly, they scrawled several jokes on the cover, chanting 'Our good neighbor State Farm is there,' before throwing it in the trash. Getting back to business, they said that it had no substance and no plot." After taking a breath, he continued. "First, it's 'Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there,' second, I was following their orders to make an edgy script that fits into the cinematic universe."      This then brought up the elephant in the room: hating a script is no reason to cancel it. Respon...

Two Cancellations are Here and an Advance Preview is Coming!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; July 26, 2014)      In an unexpected turn of events, we have some news today. Some of it is good, some of it is bad, but all of it is current! Let's see what has been going on lately.      First off, two of our upcoming films, the re-release of Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen  and the remake of Legoettes Take Manhattan  have both been cancelled. "With all of the work that we need to do to finish Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients  and start production on Project U, these two films are little more than distractions," said LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew. "While it did get some love, Mystery at Shady Acres  didn't do very well, and the idea for Legoettes Take Manhattan  has just been collecting dust since January. Nobody has even written a script yet." The two release slots are now vacant, in case another production can fill their space.     ...

Studio Update: Welcome the Nexus Force's Newest Member

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; July 4, 2014)      To celebrate America's Independence Day, we have just made several announcements at our Independence Day party. Some of it is good, some of it relates to delays, but it is all important and exciting nonetheless. Let's get started!      First, just a few days after the end of the Nexus Force Character Creation Sweepstakes, we have a winner: Marcus Hutchinson with his character Sairento Hato. Congratulations to Marcus for winning this contest; we are already working your character into the script for Legends of the Universe and we hope that you are excited to act in another one of our films.      Unfortunately, with good news there is also some bad news. Because of problems regarding the editing for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients , the film's release date has been pushed back to August 22nd. However, to make up for this delay, a new trailer f...

All New Ask Mark Matthew!

By: Andrew Bermudez (LEGO Studios; April 1, 2014)      Today we bring you another 'Ask Mark Matthew,' containing 100% new material! Let's get started! Automated Question Generator writes: What is the answer to today's April Fool's Day prank? Mark: Of the three announcements, the only one that is legitimate is...the "blind bag" characters. They will be available in the fall along with the sets based on Forest of Fear and Attack of the Fifty-Foot Hamster . However, there are some things to mention in regard to the two "April Fool's" announcements. First, we are NOT bringing back Com 50. On the contrary, because of issues and a general lack of online popularity (even though the award trivia is true), we are cancelling the re-release of Com 50-3: Raid on Central Island . In addition, the re-release of Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen will still continue, but the interactive elements will be dropped. Again, this is because of issues and a ...

Three New Announcements!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; April 1, 2014)      As spring break wears on, there has been lots of activity here at the studio, including the fixing and 3-D conversion of Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo . So, we would like to announce some new developments. Let's get started!      First off, we are pleased to announce that we will be rebooting the Com 50 saga! "Back when they were first created, the Com 50 trilogy received tremendous praise," said Mustache Maniacs Film Co. CEO Andrew Bermudez. "In fact, at The Second Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards , Com 50 and 007  won for best re-release, proving their popularity to this day." Just like the original films, this reboot will be created in live action. Andrew continued, "This diversification will get us back into the live action business, adding yet another project that fans can look forward to in addition to the ten Project U films." The fir...

"The Duck and the Strawberries" has been Canceled!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; May 13, 2011)      Friday the 13th has always been associated with bad luck, and today this rings true for Freddy and Joey - the Duck and the Strawberries . "It's just that no one liked the script," said studio CEO Mark Matthew. "I have to admit it probably wouldn't have been a success, given by the lack of prominent views for the Freddy and Joey Teaser . I still thought it was better than the script for Ghost Pictures , though." The studio will now go back to the feature-length movie concept for Freddy and Joey .      Instead, the studio is teaming up with CarTOON Shack to present An Afternoon at the Zoo . In this short, three chimpanzees are minding their own business when some rude zoo guests begin to torment them. When the chimps let their imaginations run wild, who is the real ape? The short will be released June 3rd along with Space Attack .      Also, the next Tales of the Ad...

Patrick's Adventures Comic Strip Has Been Canceled!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; September 21, 2009)      Recently, the studio's schedule has gone haywire. So much time has been spent running errands and compiling paperwork, the studio has little time left to do anything else. Also, the studio has been working up another script for a potential horror movie. There just hasn't been enough time lately to do anything else.      Therefore, last night, the unanimous decision was made to cancel the proposed 'Patrick's Adventures' Comic Series. "I know many of the fans will be disappointed, but we just don't have the time right now," stated Mark Matthew, head of the board of directors. "I know it was meant to fill in the blank between the two Johnny Thunder movies, but there is no need to worry, because Lord Sinister fills in that blank in Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile .      During the press conference, resident writer Peter Samuel also added that the proposed ...
