All New Ask Mark Matthew!

(LEGO Studios; April 1, 2014)
Today we bring you another 'Ask Mark Matthew,' containing 100% new material! Let's get started!Automated Question Generator writes: What is the answer to today's April Fool's Day prank?
Mark: Of the three announcements, the only one that is legitimate is...the "blind bag" characters. They will be available in the fall along with the sets based on Forest of Fear and Attack of the Fifty-Foot Hamster. However, there are some things to mention in regard to the two "April Fool's" announcements. First, we are NOT bringing back Com 50. On the contrary, because of issues and a general lack of online popularity (even though the award trivia is true), we are cancelling the re-release of Com 50-3: Raid on Central Island. In addition, the re-release of Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen will still continue, but the interactive elements will be dropped. Again, this is because of issues and a lack of time to complete these projects.
NDA1494 writes: What are your thoughts on the Lego Movie? For me it was awesome.
Mark: Typically, we don't give our personal thoughts and opinions on a film, but since you've asked, we'll put our thoughts out there. In brief, we loved it! It was great how it was able to harmoniously combine our favorite building toy into a very witty and biting social satire. It was also able to pull off something astonishing: it took concepts that, in theory, sounded bad and made them work in practice. While it may have moved a little too fast at points, it was still an amazing film.
TLFScarheart writes: when will you re upload this part [part 2 of Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo] to fix the sound issue?
Mark: We already have! You can now watch the revised version of part 2 of Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo right here! The entire film is available to watch in 3-D as well!
Marcus Hutchinson writes: how did you clone the extras [for Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile]?
Mark: First, during production, we filmed the extras separately so that we would have the footage needed for later. Then, during post-production, we used Adobe Photoshop to composite the still images together, making one harmonious image. On the editing timeline, it was added to the sequence of images just like any other still image for the film.
Trainboy7 writes: It's nice to see a train in one of your Brick films. they've been left out in recent Lego Videos...
Mark: Thanks for noticing! Interesting note is that the train in Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients was one of the few elements in the script that stayed in since the beginning. We hope you enjoy the finished film!
That's it for today's edition of Ask Mark Matthew! don't forget that if you have a question, send it either as a private message to YouTube user Mustache Maniacs Film Co. or as a message on the "Contact Us" page on the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. website. Until then, we'll be making movies!
