By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; December 21, 2014)      Here we are. We're now at the last edition of Archive Collections. Over the past year, we've released twelve editions of Archive Collections, each one detailing different props, animation cells, art pieces, screenshots, and more artifacts from our archives. By using these artifacts, we've reflected back on the first ten years and all that we had done. Now that Archive Collections has ended, let's take a look at all that we covered. Click on the name of each post to read the full edition. The Most Memorable Deleted Scenes In this collection of fifteen deleted scenes, we look over what could have appeared in Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s movies, from the original opening to Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo  to a song that was cut from Kilroy Was Here! . Archive Collections: Our Favorite Moments

Image
By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; December 20, 2014)      As "Ten Years of Going Crazy!" comes to a close, we are ready to present our last two editions of Archive Collections! Today's covers our favorite moments from Mustache Maniacs Film Co. movies, and tomorrow's will be a recap of the past Archive Collections, with respective links.      Nearly every movie has stand-out moments that capture the audience's attention, even if the movie itself isn't that good. These scenes alone can allow the film to resonate with an audience. These are usually scenes that are hilarious, marvelous, shocking, or a combination of those. Mustache Maniacs Film Co. movies are no different, so in chronological order, here are some of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s most special movie moments. Baron Von Stuka laughs! By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; December 12, 2014)      If you followed the refurbishment of the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. website over the past month, you may know that one of the things that we did was resurrect the delayed Project U-Build Play Set Adventures by giving them their own page and hosting the set files on Brickshelf. Now that the project's fiasco is behind us, we are glad to announce that more Project U-Build Play Set Adventures are coming in January!      This wave of new sets will be based on many of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s short films and will feature hilarious vignettes of scenes from these short films, as well as larger structures and even a sailing vessel! Without further ado, here are the upcoming sets with product descriptions. 30014: Dodo Nest - Mathias the Fat Chef has come to capture the dodos and their eggs for his next feast! Crazyhouse Comics Will Introduce Three New Comic Series in 2015 and Beyond!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; December 12, 2014)      As "Ten Years of Going Crazy!" nears its end, details regarding the future of Mustache Maniacs Film Co. beyond 2014 continued to surface today with an announcement coming from an unlikely branch of the company. "It's been a year since the last comic for Tales of the Adventurers  was released," said LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew. "But, despite comics being part of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s history, we had no comics for this year. We are working on making sure that 2015 will more than make up for that." No, this does not mean that Tales of the Adventurers will be returning, but plenty of new comics are certainly on their way. In fact, not one, not two, but three new series are in the works, and they will all be distinct from each other, both in visuals and narrative.      The first will actually make its debut before the end of the year. Weekend Update: THAC 12 Entry Coming in January!

By: Andrew Bermudez (LEGO Studios; December 5, 2014)      As the weekend arrives, we have a few updates that we would like to share, so let's get started!      Today, another From the Vaults re-release, Indiana Jones and the Forbidden Mayan Temple , was released today as part of a campaign to finish "Ten Years of Going Crazy!" on a strong note. While some of the previously-announced re-releases have been retracted, there will still be a few more before the end of the year.      The big news, however, is the fact that the Project U film currently titled THAC 12 Entry now has an official release date! "We are pleased to announce that this short film will be released on January 4th, 2015," said LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew. "The last time we entered a THAC contest was back in 2010 with When Barrels Fly . That film proved to be influential in creating new and original IP for Mustache Maniacs Film Co., so we hope that this film will do t...

Studio Update: Contest Suspension and Prize Retraction Warning

By: Andrew Bermudez (LEGO Studios; December 1, 2014)      As we do not have much time at the moment, we will quickly get down to business with today's update. Let's get started!      First, the contest Extreme Explorations  has been cancelled due to a lack of entries. The soundtracks will now be kept for archival purposes. We will not have any more contests this year.      Speaking of contests, the prize for the grand prize winner of the Crazy Birthday E-Card Contest  has already been shipped, but the two runner-ups, Marcus Hutchinson and Powderedsugar07, have yet to send mailing addresses in order to ship their prizes, which are all ready to go. To those two runner-ups, we have created an ultimatum: if you do not send the appropriate mailing addresses by the end of the year, the prizes will be retracted and moved to the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. archive.      Moving to more positive notes, the audition per...

Archive Collections: Storyboard Madness

Image
By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; November 21, 2014)      We're back with another Archive Collections, this one focusing on storyboards! So, without further ado, let's get started!      Storyboards are a very important part of any film's pre-production, as they help alleviate the headache of planning shots as you go, which can give some less-than-satisfactory results. This is especially important for animation, where careful planning is crucial to ensure that everything reads properly on-screen. For that planning process, several thumbnails of different shots are compiled. These are the storyboards. For Mustache Maniacs Film Co., storyboards have been used extensively for pre-planning several animated films. Below are storyboards from some of these films.
