The Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Press Room

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; September 15, 2026)     This running joke seems to never end, does it?  The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards is being delayed again to November 6 of this year. However, we now have everything in place to finish this film once and for all, with a guaranteed release on that date. The Decision to Make Another Delay     We used the summer, as promised, to fill more roles. While we did manage to fill most of the film's roles, multiple roles were still left open, with most of the issues related to getting most of the returning characters to have their roles reprised by their respective voice actors. Some of them were outright replaced, while others are being filled via another means. And no, that means is not AI voice cloning. How Archive Audio Ended up Saving the Day     It's not something that we've done a lot in the past, but archive audio is something that we've used i...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; May 24, 2026)     It seems like a tale as old as time, but due to issues with securing the needed voice recordings, The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards  is being delayed to September 25 of this year. However, with summer upon us, we're going to use this opportunity to finally finish the film. Here's how. The Decision to Make this Last Delay     We were really trying to make this deadline, but as we've contacted people to get the needed dialogue, we've only seen a spotty response at best. There's a real possibility now that someone might have to pick up a best performance award on behalf of someone else, but hopefully we'll be able to keep this to a minimum. The idea of cloning the voice performances with AI was tossed around for about ten seconds before LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew tossed that executive out of the studio for suggesting AI voice cloning. However, we won't need...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; January 16, 2026)     It's been almost two years since we first announced it, and just over two weeks since we threw ourselves into this project for THAC 2026. Now, William's Bell Overture: The Symphony of the Realities  has arrived! William's Bell Overture: The Symphony of the Realities  Has Been Released!     While we weren't able to complete the film in time for THAC 2026, this musical multiversal tale has finally arrived! As originally promised, this film focuses on the William's Bell Theorem from the anthology of the same name, but regarding its implications and consequences, rather than being a "what if?" scenario. This film finally finishes some years-old plot threads, starts some new ones, and aims to reset the direction for the cinematic universe going forward. This is also our first film to implement our new quality standards, so this film also gives a glimpse at how we plan on el...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; December 31, 2025)     Another year is over, and with it comes some very exciting projects, which led to a busier than expected year. We released five new films in total, and we've ramped up our production pipeline for the years ahead! As that begins to unfold, let's take a look back at what happened this year. January     The year started out with the release of our THAC 2025 entry, An Imposter's Mission ! This short sci-fi comedy, while not winning any prizes, set up the year on a strong note. This film reinterpreted the fish-out-of-water narrative with space aliens for some hilarious comedy! If you haven't seen it yet, the film has been embedded above so you can watch it.     This month also saw the introduction of a few operational changes. For starters, the Original Cuts  releases introduced in 2024 for Twenty Years Young  became exclusive to the official website. This was done to a...

The winning entry was Who is Tying People to Train Tracks? , to which we say congratulations on winning this heated competition. As for Eye of the Baron's Storm , the film did not enter into the top 25 entries, but we would like to extend our thanks to Bricks in Motion for hosting this competition and well done to everyone that entered! The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards  Has Finished Filming!      In other news, this past week was a big deal for one big reason: after being delayed for over a yea...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; May 18, 2025)     Just in time for Memorial Day, wave 1 of the all-new legacy subtitles have arrived to help the hard of hearing to enjoy our films! Here's all of the details, plus a look at our tentative release schedule for the rest of the year! Wave 1 Subtitles Have Arrived!      To better help our audiences enjoy our films, we launched a new initiative back in January to add subtitles to all of our past films (that is, before the start of Twenty Years Young  in January 2024). Today, we've just added these subtitles to all of our films released from 2020 through 2023, with some gaps left open with the 2024 releases finally being patched up. Below is a list of all of the films that just received subtitles! Bradford Rant: Beginnings Camel: The Movie Camel: The Movie - April Fool's Day Edition Hunted: A (Not) Bigfoot Story Johnny Thunder and the Trail of Botnik New Friends ~ An Environmenta...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; April 24, 2025)     While we missed our first release window for our much-needed subtitles, we now have an official framework for how we plan on rolling out official subtitles for our films! All of this information is here in today's news update! Releasing Subtitles in Waves: How Will it Work?     Based on how we're creating these subtitles in Adobe Premiere (we're doing this so that the subtitles will continue to exist as an offline file as a backup), we've decided to start rolling out the subtitles in waves between this Spring and the end of 2026. They'll be released on a rolling tentative basis, so we don't have exact dates for these releases. However, we do want to ensure that all of our films and other content is mindful of the deaf and hard of hearing. Unlike the auto-generated subtitles of the past, these are being created by using the original scripts as guides, with adjustments made for impr...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; January 5, 2025)     With the new year having just started and Twenty Years Young  now officially behind us, we're now entering a new era of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.: one that is led by our new affiliate team and that is focused on completing our on-going projects! The first of these, An Imposter's Mission , was just released for THAC 2025, the competition's 20th anniversary, so let's see what this is all about! An Imposter's Mission  Has Been Released!     Following up on the events of Galactic Convoy but focusing on that next assignment from a different perspective, An Imposter's Mission  puts a sci-fi twist on the classic fish out of water story! This THAC entry concerns a tiny alien, who has arrived on Earth in a humanoid mech suit on behalf of his species to deliver a message to the Ambassador of Flaboo, who is also on Earth. However, it becomes apparent that this tiny alien...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; December 31, 2024)     And that's a wrap! Twenty Years Young  has officially come to a close. With so many new projects that were released this year, it can be hard to keep track of everything, so let's take a look back at everything that happened in the past year.

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; December 18, 2024)     We're almost to the end of Twenty Years Young , and today, right alongside the special effects showcase for When Barrels Fly , we have a small update to share with all of you regarding some updated release dates, as well as a new policy that has been confirmed for all additional upcoming releases. The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards  has been Delayed to February 16, 2025!     After some consideration, this awards ceremony has been delayed to next year. While it was written to be tied to Twenty Years Young , we wanted to give this award show the time it needs to really shine. With a slowdown in projects in the new year, we're taking advantage of this to get this show finished up and ready for the red carpet! Further details will be shared in the new year. Patrick: The Movie  Production Gallery will now be Released on December 22, 2024!     ...

All of this news and more is below! Twenty Years Young  is Scaling Back for the Holiday Season!     With the number of upcoming projects stacking up, we've made a decision to focus on quality over quantity to finish off the year. Because of this, every upcoming project outside of The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards  and The Archivist  has been delayed to 2025 and beyond. The affected titles that were originally scheduled for release this year are: A Taste of Howling Hollow: The Forest of Fear Cooking with Flex: Recipes from Around Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s Cinematic Universe A Future in the Past Tales Across the World: A Short Story Collection Alms Pouch: Finished At ...
