UPDATE: Truly One Last Delay for "The Fourth Fan Choice Awards!"

(Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; May 24, 2026)

It seems like a tale as old as time, but due to issues with securing the needed voice recordings, The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards is being delayed to September 25 of this year. However, with summer upon us, we're going to use this opportunity to finally finish the film. Here's how.

The Decision to Make this Last Delay

We were really trying to make this deadline, but as we've contacted people to get the needed dialogue, we've only seen a spotty response at best. There's a real possibility now that someone might have to pick up a best performance award on behalf of someone else, but hopefully we'll be able to keep this to a minimum. The idea of cloning the voice performances with AI was tossed around for about ten seconds before LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew tossed that executive out of the studio for suggesting AI voice cloning. However, we won't need to resort to that level, because we have an ace up our sleeve.

How the Summer will Finally Get this Project Wrapped Up

This is the main reason that we moved the release date back to September 25, but now that summer is finally here, we have the opportunity to finally record voices with an expanded pool of talent. It may not be true for everyone, but summer is usually seen as the time that more people have free time on their hands, which means that there should be a larger talent pool that we can draw from. We're planning on getting this award show fully cast as early in the summer season as possible, so that all of the voice work and final editing can be done asap. We will keep you posted.

What Does This Means for BRAWL 2026?

As for the 2026 edition of BRAWL 2026, what does this delay mean? The answer is that it won't affect the possibility of us creating an entry, but it does mean that this entry will be untethered to an upcoming announcement at the fan choice awards, meaning that the film's premise will be determined when the contest begins.

Other Projects: Subtitles and Brickfilms.com Presence

There are also a multitude of projects that have seemingly gone quiet recently but are still active. For starters, our mission to add retroactive subtitles to all of our films has slowed down, but this project is still active. Because of this slowdown, however, we are making the following tweak to the release schedule:

  • All of our films will have subtitles by the end of 2026.
  • All of our supplementary videos (behind the scenes, series episodes, trailers, etc.) will have subtitles by the end of 2027.

In other news, we still are looking at reentering Brickfilms.com, which we will now do this summer. We will use our BRAWL 2026 entry as our launching point on this platform, then test audience retention from there. We want our presence on this website to be akin to Bricks in Motion, but we know that we need to take this slow, so that we don't overwhelm their users with us releasing too many films at once.
