Studio Update: Getting Back to Work and Filming Begins for Big Project!

Now that we have settled into our new location, we have returned to work on our multiple projects! Let's see what has been going on.
First, after long delays, work is picking back up for the comics Out of His Time, Journey to Siberia, and DINO Attack: Saga of a Conflict. For the last one, we are working closely with the RPG's writers to make this story as accurate as possible. The other two comics will continue their runs as currently scheduled.
In other news, filming has continued briskly for Alpha Team: Mission Deep Jungle...until it was discovered that one of the trucks needed for tomorrow's shoot isn't ready yet. "The worst part is, we got word that it needs another week to be finished," said director Steven Lawrence. "We can't sit around waiting for someone else to fix their mistake, using up the studio's money. Mark Matthew will not be happy." Orders to get the needed parts should be out by the end of this week.

Solutions to this problem, however, are already in place. While this upcoming scene may not be ready to film yet, there are still scenes to film that don't require the truck. Hanger scenes at Alpha Team HQ have yet to be filmed, but will be as the truck is finished.
While we are on the topic of filming, we have some startling news: Legends of the Universe started filming today! "Considering that the film is expected to last three hours, this is necessary to get the movie done in time for its 2020 release," said LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew. The scene itself is nothing much. It's just two mechanics listening to a radio. However, for fear of spoiling not only the movie, but all of Project U, no more details are allowed to be disclosed. Here is a screenshot from today's shoot.

In other news, we're almost ready for the debut of Between Takes Set Reviews, which will begin with a review of Toxikita's Toxic Meltdown. By the end of August, we hope to also have a review up for an undecided older LEGO set, as well as a first look and review of the upcoming Ninjago set Temple of Airjitzu.
Finally, there has been talk back and forth between members of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s administration over the Darkness and Light contest. Since Our Good Neighbor was axed, some want to just focus on current projects, while others want to make another film for the contest. discussions have been on-going, but we will keep you informed.
Before we go, we would like to let you know that The Quest for Canonization and this round of auditions end on the 31st of this month! If you want to partake in either, be sure to do so today!
7/25/2015 Update: There's been a few developments recently regarding the content of this press release. First, the needed parts for the truck have been ordered and should arrive by the end of next week. In the meantime, the Alpha Team HQ Hanger set is just about ready to go. Filming for those scenes will begin tomorrow. Second, it has been decided that no entry for Darkness and Light will be made. So much for our lavish announcement. Because of this, a new policy change has been put into effect. This is how it reads.
Policy Regarding Announcing Projects (Revised 7/25/2015)
Any project that is conceived wholly or partially as a conceptual idea that gains approval and is developed further cannot be officially announced until the said project has finished all preliminary operations and is wholly and completely ready for formal production status.
This policy change does not affect projects that have already been announced, regardless of their current state. This change is just a guarantee that any announced project is going to come to fruition.
