"Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra" Will Be Released on August 9!

We've just re-released the popular film Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients, and to commemorate this spectacular re-release, we've got tons of news for all of you! Are you ready for it all?

Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra Will Be Released on August 9!
We dropped the latest trailer for this highly-anticipated historical fiction film this morning, and contained within the the trailer is the official (and final) release date for this film: August 9! We are so excited to finally have this film finished and ready for all of you to see, which will bring this popular, but short-lived, LEGO theme to life like never before! We've already talked about this film extensively here on the press room, but we have so much more to share before the film premieres! Be sure to check back for more news! And speaking of news...

The Pen Will Be Released on June 14!
Also released this morning was the first-ever trailer for the long-delayed BRAWL/Movie Magic non-entry, The Pen, which now has a final release date: June 14! This is another great film that we are excited to finally have ready for audiences everywhere, as it will finish up introducing the five lead characters for our upcoming film B.I.O. Corps (which started with 2017's New Year's Resolution). This unusual film is going to have audiences wanting more, so we are especially grateful to have two all-new films ready for your viewing pleasure this summer!

A Friend of the Police Will Be Re-Released on April 19!

To commemorate our fifteenth anniversary, we're going all out and re-releasing our sleeper hit from 2013: A Friend of the Police! While popular, the original version has the same audio issues that plagued Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients, but instead of modulating the audio, we're completely scrapping and revamping the audio from the ground up! Here's what's changing for the re-release:
  • The front-end logo will be updated.
  • All of the dialogue will be re-recorded, including new actors to play Chase McCain and Frank Honey (They'll reprise their roles for Alpha Team: Mission Deep City)!
  • The visuals will be filtered to give the look of a cop show.
  • The opening shots will be replaced with new shots of the canon look of the LEGO City Police Station, and the film will receive an updated Title Treatment (pictured above).
  • A musical score will be composed for the film.
With these changes, we are certain that people will enjoy the film for years to come, just as they always have!

Lots of Fifteenth Anniversary Surprises in April!
We haven't addressed it really up to this point, but April 18 is our 15th anniversary! To celebrate, we're releasing a recap video of our history on April 18, which will condense 15 years into 2-3 minutes. It'll act as our channel trailer going forward, but it's not the only thing that we have planned! Here are all of the releases that we have planned for April:
  • April 12: Re-release of Wonders of Buoyancy
  • April 18: Mustache Maniacs Film Co.: Our First 15 Years
  • April 19: Re-release of A Friend of the Police
If anything else is planned for this time, we'll let you know. However, there is one more piece of news you should all hear.

Shootout! Re-Release Has Been Cancelled!
As we approach the end of Digital Decade, we would like to mention that we reviewed our current re-release line-up and have decided that, since re-editing it is not worth our time, Shootout!'s re-release has been cancelled. There are other, more popular films that deserve our attention more, so this sacrifice is for the best. To accommodate this cancellation, the current cut of Shootout! will remain online.

More Old Films Going Offline on May 1, 2019!
Also, because of the pool of new re-releases, we will be pulling some original cuts off of the internet, to avoid confusion for new fans. We want our films to always be available, so we are only pulling the old cuts of films whose re-releases are already online by the specified date. The original release films that will be pulled are:
  • Air Srike
  • Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients
  • Wonders of Buoyancy
  • A Friend of the Police
Again, these are only the original versions, as the new versions will then be replacing them.

Lead Out
So that covers everything coming up in the months ahead! We're hope that you're looking forward to it all!
