Studio Update: Welcome to Hey, Monkey!

    We may not have a cookie, but we do have a brand-new month theme, based on An Afternoon at the Zoo! Let's zoom on in like a chimpanzee riding on a segway and take a look at this more laid-back month!

Hey, Monkey!: What to Expect in August

    Hey, monkey! Heh, heh, hey, monkey! Who's wants some new releases? We've got some new releases and more coming, so here's everything that set to be released this month:

  • The production gallery for Ninjago: Visions of Memories will be released on August 5.
  • On August 17, the interactive game Shady Acres Super Sleuth will return with fully functioning interactivity. No changes will be made to the experience.
  • The early storyboard animatic and art gallery for Alms Pouch will have its debut on August 21.
  • The long-awaited special edition for Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo is making its triumphant debut on August 23.
  • A press release discussing the brief history of the cancelled game Zoo Flight will be shared later in the month.
  • New art designs, including the Torgo's Atlantic Excursions logo from Howling Hollow: The Forest of Fear, will debut late in the month in the art & apparel store.
  • New merchandise, including a limited physical release of Camel: The Album, will soon debut in the collectibles store.

Catching Up from Falling Behind!

    You might have noticed that, unlike what was originally planned, there are no completely new releases this month. This is because we've fallen behind on several projects, including The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards. We're going to need time to finish all of them, and after evaluating the actual production timeline for Galactic Convoy, we're working to balance all of it out. Therefore, this month will be a work month for us.

Taking a Look at Galactic Convoy, Our Latest Film!

    To give you an idea of how hectic the end of July was, we've just found time to talk about our latest film, Galactic Convoy, which was released on July 26! While this film gave us a reality check on how much time it takes to make an effects-heavy film, it did allow us to expand the cinematic universe into space with new characters and locations! It's been receiving praise for its effects and story, especially noteworthy since the film had a three-month turnaround. More importantly, this has also spurred talks of a sequel at some point in the future.

A More Realistic Schedule for the Rest of 2024!

    With that said, the fact that a third of Galactic Convoy's production timeframe was the editing alone, this has given us a framework to use when working on the rest of the new projects for the rest of the year. Because of this, release dates have been shuffled, which has resulted in the current schedule, which is listed below.

  • The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards - September 20

  • Cooking With Flex: Recipes from Around Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s Cinematic Universe - October 6
  • Alms Pouch: Finished At Last! - October 25
  • Tales Across the World: A Short Story Collection - November 8
  • A Future in the Past - November 29
  • The Archivist - December 20

Be aware that this schedule can and will change without notice. If any new updates are made, we will let you know. The rest of the re-releases and behind the scenes material is sticking to its current release dates and will not change.

An Update on "Howling Hollow: The Forest of Fear!"

Headquarters; November 5, 2023)     If you remember our special project Howling Hollow: The Forest of Fear  that debuted on February 1 of this year, you might be wondering what's going on there. Well, today, we have the answer! Howling Hollow: The Forest of Fear  is Having a Multi-Part Story Reveal for Two Weeks!      Over the last several months, the project has seen sporadic updates to the back-story of the land, as well as the layout and the characters, the latter of which were just revealed to celebrate Halloween. Now, starting today, the project blog is going to have daily updates for the next two weeks that will walk you through the main story of the land by way of the interactive game HowlSpace: The Howling Hollow Messaging App , which includes in-depth looks at each location as they become relevant in the said game. "Animation Reel 2" Debuts with new Logo

Headquarters; January 8, 2013)      Earlier today, a demo reel from MEA 135 class was released, showcasing some animation from that class (you can watch it  here ). However, a more important element of this release is the logo at the beginning. If you compare it to previous releases, you will notice that this logo has been highly upgraded with banners, text, and more. "This logo update is very important," said LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew. "Before, the technology used in our films was a little...dated, to say the least, so the old logo worked. However, we now have the entire Adobe CS6 Creative Suite. We can literally add big-budget special effects, highly stylized fonts, dramatic credits, and more to our films, giving our films a professional touch. However, the unintended side effect is that our films will now look so good, the old logo will look bad in comparison. That is what makes this update important."  T
