Studio Update: Welcome to Don't Say No to the U.S.O.!

(Mustache Maniacs Film Co; July 1, 2024)

With America's Independence Day coming this Thursday, we've decided to take the time to remember the play Kilroy Was Here! from 2005! Most of this celebration will happen here on this press room, but there are some more ways to celebrate this month!

Don't Say No to the U.S.O.!: What to Expect in July

As mentioned, this month is all about the Cornerstone Thespian Society production Kilroy Was Here!, which was first performed in 2005 and produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Inglewood, CO. While there's a lot that pertains to other things this month and the film itself was re-released back in May, we're still going to have ways to celebrate.

  • The production gallery for Bradford Rant: Beginnings will be released tomorrow, July 2.
  • The day after on July 3, the special edition of Trip to LEGOLAND will debut.
  • The production gallery for The Pen is going to be released on July 12.
  • Galactic Convoy and that brand-new film's production gallery will be released in tandem on July 26.
  • On July 27, a behind the scenes reel of deleted animation and production art for the infamous BRAWL entry Solarum will debut.
  • On July 29, a special edition all of the contents of the Fifth Anniversary Collection, which includes the films Indiana Jones and the Forbidden Mayan Temple, Indiana Jones and the Egyptian Tomb, Com 50, TBC News: The Volcano Blows, and Our World: Islam, will finally be re-released.
  • On July 4, a celebration of the film Kilroy Was Here! will include opportunities to watch the film, donate to Operation U.S.O. Care Package, and more.
  • Later in the month, the final character redesigns of Private Joe Kilroy, Private Carl Ryder, and Private Leo Pickford for A Future in the Past will be revealed. On top of this, a look at how the film brings World War 2 to life will be featured.
  • A post here on the press room will take a look at the development of the film, including all of the content cut from the story.
  • A press release will take a look at the development of the official soundtrack, as well as direct readers to go buy the digital release.

And with that, Don't Say No to the U.S.O. has begun!

We're Now Back on Brickfilms.com!

In other news, we're officially reopening our account on Brickfilms.com! You see, back before Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s online network went live, we were planning on entering the digital sphere through the website Brickfilms.com, since that was the main hub for the LEGO animation community in 2005. However, due to internal politics, most of the community moved to BricksInMotion.com by the end of 2008, including us. That website ended up being our entrance to the internet, but because Brickfilms.com was recently revived and we want to expand our outreach, we're now adding that website to our online network! The first film of ours that has been released on there is True Love's Course, with more releases coming soon. We're also looking at the possibility of adding our older films on there, but we have yet to reach an agreement on that.

After Sitting Dormant, the Online Store Will Receive New Merch!

Finally, we're getting back into adding new merchandise to our online store! Sales have slowed down as of late, but we're committing ourselves to adding at least one new item each day throughout the month of July! Shirts, artwork, collectibles, oddities, screen-used props, and more are in the pipeline for adding to the store, so keep an eye out!
