Revel in the Sounds of "William's Bell Overture: The Symphony of the Realities," Coming September 27, 2024!

In a surprise twist, Bricks In Motion's summer contest started early, and in another surprise twist, it's a music focused competition titled "Musical World." That leads to yet another surprise twist: we have another short film in the pipeline that we didn't expect to even exist a year ago!

William's Bell Overture: The Symphony of the Realities is Coming September 27!

Considering the unique parameters of "Musical World" and the cinematic universe's expansion with a new corner titled William's Bell Overture (it's a series of "what if" spin-off stories related to Dino Attack: Saga of a Conflict and Dino Attack RPG), we're using this music-inspired competition to create a brand-new short film titled William's Bell Overture: The Symphony of the Realities. Rather than being a "what if" story of its own, the film is going to explore what William's Bell actually is, per the official description below.

In a thought experiment by a certain Dr. William Leonard, the quantum fluctuations from across the multiverse could ring a theoretical bell, creating a harmonious symphony from many realities. In Dimension 7124, an eager young intern at Bell Laboratories aims to prove that the theory is true. But to do so, he's going to need some help from other realities. But this catches the attention of some less-than-honest individuals from Dimension 418 who have an agenda of their own.

We're in the process of assembling a collection of royalty-free classical music to be the guide for the film's script, which will be written in either late July or early August. The film will be released for early previews on September 22, with a full premiere on September 27.

It's the Perfect Companion to Tales Across The World and William's Bell Overture!

It's worth mentioning that this film is only meant to set up the further exploration of the multiverse in both William's Bell Overture (out now) and Tales Across The World: A Short Story Collection (coming November 8). While the multiverse has been loosely touched upon in the past, this film is going to take place in the multiverse's far reaches, making it a core focus of the plot. Like we mentioned above, it's not a "what if" story, but rather an introduction to what the multiverse is. It's not going to be required viewing for the greater cinematic universe (even though the main cinematic universe does make an appearance), but it will be canonical for the universe. However, in anticipation of this film, there are a few things that need to be updated canonically.

  • Several new realities are being added to the official cinematic universe's multiversal timeline, due to the canonization of William's Bell Overture, which are listed below.
    • Forward and the film William's Bell Overture: The Symphony of the Realities both take place in Dimension 7124
    • Rex a la Mode takes place in Dimension 64438
    • Brothers in Claws takes place in Dimension 680347
    • The First Nightmare takes place in Dimension 12144
    • A Frostivus Carol Finale takes place in Dimension 5640063
    • For the Future takes place in Dimension 447173
    • Mercy Killing takes place in Dimension 33467
    • After Life takes place in Dimension 6346
    • I, Rex takes place in Dimension 4113
    • Hunting the Quiet Wolf takes place in both Dimension 826 and Dimension 9342
    • The Knight of Terra takes place in Dimension 2085

However, with the parameters of "Musical World" being what they are, this does mean that we have another delay to announce.

Greed and Grit Has Been Delayed to at Least 2025!

John Hitchcock has spent the last several years writing a western film titled Greed and Grit that has been a passion project for him. The film was originally intended to be released this September as a part of Bricks In Motion's summer contest. The concept still shows promise, and we are not cancelling the film, but the parameters of "Musical World" mean that this film would have straight up violated the competition's rules (one of the rules forbids dialogue, for example). Therefore, the film Greed and Grit is being delayed to at least 2025, maybe even further. We have a back-up plan to keep this film in production for the future, which we will reveal further when The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards is finally released.
