Studio Update: Welcome to The Month of Thunder!

    May is here, and that brings us to an all-new month theme! This month, we're diving into the Johnny Thunder Saga with The Month of Thunder, and we plan on doing it with some historical stories!

The Month of Thunder: What to Expect in May


       With May here and summer just around the corner, we're diving into an entire month dedicated to Johnny Thunder and more! Let's take a look at what's in store for this month.

  • The failed THAC XVI entry, The Bartender's Tale, will finally be released on May 3.
  • The special edition of Kilroy Was Here! will be released on May 20. On May 22, the special edition of Indiana Jones and the Heart of the Dragon will be released.
  • The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards has been delayed to May 26. This is expected to be the ceremony's final delay.
  • A reel of outtakes and another reel of rehearsals for Kilroy Was Here! will both debut on May 20.
  • A behind the scenes featurette for Indiana Jones and the Heart of the Dragon will debut on May 22.
  • During the month of May, stories about the Johnny Thunder Saga will be featured on this press room. One in particular will take a look at the complicated history of the writing for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients.
  • On May 4, we'll take a look at our many (failed) attempts at creating a LEGO Star Wars fan film on this press room, including one recent attempt that was never formally announced!
  • Back-logged t-shirt designs will debut in the art and apparel store. An additional design that commemorates the Cornerstone Thespian Society will debut on May 20.
  • Several LEGO sets and minifigures will be added to the collectibles store.
  • The online store will run a Memorial Day sale from May 24 through June 1.
  • At the end of May, a first look at Johnny Thunder and the Rise to Fame will be provided. Teaser trailers for Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo: The Adventure Retold and Johnny Thunder and the Rise to Fame will also be released.

Johnny Thunder and the Rise to Fame Has Been Delayed to Later This Year!


    On the other hand, while we wanted this film to be out on time to finish off the month of May, the truth is that it hasn't even started production yet! However, pre-production is finished for this origin story, so we're expecting a final release later on this year. The story team has banded together to work on the film, so we're expecting this project to be a major film for this year's celebration! More news will follow in the coming months.

Other Release Dates Currently Being Evaluated!

    
    On that same note, release dates for beyond May that do not concern a re-release or behind the scenes video are currently being reevaluated to see whether or not they truly are realistic based on how each project is shaping up. We're giving them a hard consideration, but if any release dates do end up changing, they will be announced here on this press room.

Original Classics as They Were are Returning with "Original Cuts," Coming April 18, 2024!

Headquarters; March 31, 2024)     Even in the midst of this celebration, we've just revealed some new ways to celebrate the day-of twentieth anniversary of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.! In addition to some new music albums and the release of artwork from our canceled projects, we're also introducing a new project titled Original Cuts ! What is the Special Project  Original Cuts ?      Long story short, Original Cuts  is a special project that aims to preserve classic Mustache Maniacs Film Co. movies as they were originally released. We realized during the backup of the physical archive last year that these DVDs are progressively getting worse for wear, and with 2015's DVD Archival Project only backing up the special editions of all of these films, these original versions were at risk of being lost forever. We're going all in to recognize the importance of our planet with characters from New Friends ~ An Environmental Fable ! But that's not all that we have planned this month! Papa Dodo's Ecosystem Observance : What to Expect in April         April is upon us, and with this month being Earth Month, it was only appropriate to celebrate with New Friends ~ An Environmental Fable ! Let's take a look at what's in store for this month.
