Twenty Years Countdown: The Next Fan Choice Awards

    It's August, with several months to go before the start of Twenty Years Young, so we're going to take a look at what to expect from one of our releases from early in 2024: The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards!

What We've Learned from the Past

    In the past, we've mostly focused on our core fan base to cast votes, as well as leaned into using the ceremony to make some surprise announcements. However, after the more-or-less disastrous third fan choice awards (barely any votes and the ceremony was a giant mess), we're looking at spreading out our outreach for voting. The affiliates have already been asked to share the voting ballot as much as they can and a trailer for voting (which was done for the first and second awards, but not the third) will be released soon. On top of this, we're looking to streamline the ceremony as much as we can in order to avoid any mishaps that could happen. We also have some surprises planned and an all-new host ready to take the stage! What's new this time around is covered below.

A Twenty Years Young Song by Dylan Johnson!

    Like in the past, this fan choice awards is going to once again be headlined by an original song! However, unlike in the past, where the songs have mostly been song parodies and like Happy Crazy Birthday, this song is going to be all-original, and this one is going to be composed and written by none other than Dylan Johnson! This song is going to commemorate our history as well as lean into the theme of looking back and looking ahead. While we can't say what the song will specifically feature, what we can say is that the song will be included in the upcoming album Twenty Years Young: Songs for the Anniversary alongside several other original songs.

Who's Up for the Big Awards This Time?

    This awards ceremony is planned to be our biggest yet, with no less than twelve categories to vote for! Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra is nominated for the most awards, but some other surprise challengers, including Johnny Thunder and the Trail of Botnik, Clone, The Pen, Ocean of Fear, Tale of Ulysses, and others, are also up for awards. Essentially, any film released from July 2016 through April 2023 was fair game for nomination, and with this many awards, your favorite film was most likely nominated for something.

    We only have so much time before voting concludes, so to begin the final lead-in to the beginning of the celebration and to encourage voting, we have just released a brand-new trailer for this awards ceremony!
