Get Ready for "Twenty Years Young" with our Entire Anniversary Line-Up!
By: Andrew Bermudez
(Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; April 18, 2023)
Happy 19th birthday to us! In usual fashion, we have a news-filled press release to celebrate. However, this news deals with our anniversary celebration next year, Twenty Years Young! While we've already announced most of next year's content back in 2021, we now have a more detailed line-up of what to expect for our twentieth anniversary in 2024, including our new logo (pictured above) and a brand-new celebration trailer (WATCH IT BY CLICKING HERE)!

Wiki Mondays Will Return for a Limited Time on January 1, 2024!
However, we are pleased to announce that, starting on January 1, 2024, the first Monday of the year, Wiki Mondays will return for a year-long limited run! Overseen by our wiki curator PeabodySam, this limited-time return will see the addition of 53 wiki articles throughout the year (one per Monday), as well as a full enhancement of the wiki's video and image libraries. Also as part of this return, an all-new special project, Visualizing the Unrealized, will be rebooted with one painting per month to create canonical depictions of locations, characters, and more from the cinematic universe! These paintings will be added on the last Monday of each month, with additional paintings possibly being added on a rolling basis.
In addition to all of this, we're going to open up our development process even further by adding production documents and more to our wiki during this time! Many of these documents have never been seen by the public before, making this event one that will put the spotlight on our wiki! We're looking at releasing the documents on a rolling basis, but to give a run-down, here's the types of documents that you can expect to see:

Corps in 2029! The details for this film, pending THAC 2024's theme announcement, are vague, but we can assure you that this conclusion of the Clone saga is one worthy of our anniversary celebration!
Nostalgic Behind the Scenes Content Will Be Released Throughout 2024 Starting in January!

Legacy Stories Will Return on Our Website and Wiki Starting February 8, 2024!
In a weird twist of events, we're going all in to re-release our missing films online for this anniversary! While it is true that many of these films were pulled from the internet for the perception of their poor quality holding them back, we are reintroducing them in a carefully-calculated way, which follows as thus:
- The films will be released publicly on YouTube, but in a limited capacity, instead focusing on other avenues of distribution. The website will have full access to these films, while the universe timeline playlist will also have these titles available (canonically providing, of course).
- The films and other content will be categorized separately in order to emphasize that these are being re-released as historical tributes. We do NOT view these as great quality works, and don't want to paint such a picture. Because of this, these re-releases will get their own section of the website.
- The games, however, will get their own section of the website, which will simply be titled "Games." This will also mark the first time that Mustache Maniacs-opoly and has been released online!

This spoiler-free summary is designed to give you a taste of the film without giving away any of the surprises along the way. Papa Dodo's Ecosystem Observance will Celebrate Earth Month with New Friends Characters from April 2 through April 30, 2024!
What? It's not even Earth Day 2023 and we're already diving into next year's celebration? We wanted to jump into Earth Month 2024 with everyone's favorite dodos, who will host some all-new content that will help spread awareness about the environment and how you can help. Alongside this, we're also going to celebrate the film in question with some additional content, including the following.
- A $100 donation to Evergreen Collaborative, an organization advocating for positive environmental and climate policy in the US.
- A reunion special with director Raul Flores, which will cover the film's history and impact.
- A look at never-before-seen artwork from the film's development.
- A peek at the works that CarTOON Shack has produced since they went separate ways from Mustache Maniacs Film Co.
We're also hoping to finally gather and assemble the long-missing production photos into a pipe dream of ours, an official production gallery! Whether or not this will come to pass is up in the air, but if it does happen, that will be released on June 7, the anniversary of the release of New Friends ~ An Environmental Fable!
The Legacy of Twenty Years Young is Anticipating a Release on April 18, 2024!
As always, we have plans for a massive tribute on our actual 20th anniversary, but since we don't want a repeat of our tenth and fifteenth anniversary tributes, we're going a different route and creating a recap of not so much our history, but rather a recap of the cinematic universe so far. It will touch on nearly every canonical film, story, and more from 2004 through 2023, meaning that anyone who needs a recap of what has happened up until now just needs to watch this one video, which ends right at the appropriate spot to pick up with our 2024 releases!
Bermudez Memories is Concluding its Releases on April 18, 2024!
While we have no plans to release these films online, we do have a wide collection of past home videos that need preservation and enhancement, and with the success of Old Home Movies 2: The Later Years and the massive release gap from the first three films in this series, we are going to use this date as our deadline for completing all of these hour-long videos. We've already restarted this series internally, but we are only mentioning it here for purposes related to our official wiki.
Two New Celebration Music Albums are Releasing on April 18, 2024!
If you thought that that's all that we have planned for the day-of anniversary, think again! We have two music albums, tiled Twenty Years Young: Songs for the Anniversary and Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Greatest Hits respectively, that will also be released that day! The first album will include a collection of original songs written specifically for Twenty Years Young, including the original song written for The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards! These songs will pull inspiration from our past films, the memories of our fans and cast alike, and so much more! The second album contains re-releases of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s most popular and iconic musical scores, collected together for the first time ever! In addition, this album starts with a medley track that combines our brand-new studio fanfare with our greatest soundtracks! The Bartender's Tale is Coming Back to Life on May 3, 2024!
With this celebration also commemorating our recent history, we're going to revive a film that we didn't think we ever would: the failed THAC XVI entry The Bartender's Tale is going to be completed and released to honor the 4th anniversary of Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra! This short's entire plot is already recognized as canonical in our cinematic universe, so we decided that it was time to make this never-told tale widely accessible! Unlike most of the new films being released as part of this celebration, most of the film's assets are being recycled from the original production of this film, which includes the use of shots that were later recycled into Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra.
Johnny Thunder and the Rise to Fame is Anticipating a Release on May 24, 2024!
Mustache Maniacs Film Co.: The Visual Dictionary - Third Edition is Anticipating a Release on June 1, 2024!
What comes around, goes around, and this reimagined edition of our fan-favorite visual dictionary is no different. The content has been updated for all of our latest releases, with gorgeous photography and facts aplenty! From On The Theme Park Loop, Ninjago: Visions of Memories, and The Pen to Patrick: The Movie, A Future in the Past, and Johnny Thunder and the Rise to Fame, everything has been updated for the modern day!
Tales Across the World: A Story Collection is Anticipating a Release on July 3, 2024!
While we've used our story team to write stories to fit existing parameters, this free-to-read book is going to be the first time ever that we're letting our story team run free and write all-new stories with new and returning characters! It will be a series of eighteen short stories, with all of them being canonical for the cinematic universe, but this book will have a level of variety that is unmatched in our library, with extremely high standards for authenticity for each and every story! If you're curious to see what this book will contain, here are the stories with their respective authors.
- An Evening with Immanuel Twarra: A good friend of Johnny Thunder’s and an accomplished archaeologist in the African country of Eswatini, Immanuel Twarra shares his story in this World Magazine-exclusive interview. This story was written by an unconfirmed author.

- Adventures of Ice Fisherman and Polar Bear: Two of the best friends inside of the Arctic Circle, Ice Fisherman and Polar Bear have had many wonderful hunting trips together. But when Ice Fisherman rescues a stranded husky and nurses it back to health, this newcomer proves to be more trying to their friendship than they had ever anticipated! This story was written by Andrew Bermudez.
- Deli of Fear: Mary and Leo are back at their Deli in Queens, ready to welcome more hungry customers. But their head chef, Stew LaRoach, accidentally becomes the ire of an underground mafia organization when he scolds a hit woman who didn’t like his dessert. But she’s about to face new challenges when she’s assigned to become the faculty supervisor for a driven, yet underprivileged student named Lily Washburn. In instructing her rebellious pupil, she must remember back to her time in Mexico during the hunt for the Lost Temple in order to help the two settle their differences. This story was written by Teresa Bermudez.
- On the Theory of Cosmic Kinesis at it Relates to Negative Curvature: Rather than being a straight-up short story, this is the entirety of the Theory of Cosmic Kinesis research paper by Dr. Bradford Rant, including the introduction by MUI advocate Kennard de Fleur-Rimny. This paper is, surprisingly, fully researched and includes actual scientific theories and data surrounding the theoretical multiverse. This story was written by Andrew Bermudez.
- Does This Blind Man Now See?: An article from the LEGO City Times in 2006 dissects the possibility that a blind man named Harolld Nelman, who has been begging for money outside of the gates to Crescent Park, is now behaving as if he can now see. Speculation is made on what could have happened, but then reports come in that Harolld has been taken into custody by the LCPD. This story was written by an unconfirmed author.
- My Dear Sister from Another Time: When Roger Remous begins to have suspicions that his sister Amanda Remous is actually the feared hired gun Silencia Venomosa, he sets off on a journey to Egypt to see if he can turn his sister away from the path that she's chosen. But if he wants to get there, he's going to have to come face-to-face with some of the seediest elements of society, and he's not sure how deep he's willing to go in order to save his sister from another time. This story was written by PeabodySam.
- After They Found Atlantis: After their battle with the Dark Guardians, the Deep Sea Salvage Crew is freed from their prison and the Golden King is restored to the throne of Atlantis. However, they soon discover that the Golden King's quest to find his five gems of power was all a trick to allow him to conquer the world! Allies turn into foes as the last leg of this crew's journey turns out to be the most dangerous! This story was written by Andrew Bermudez.
- The Last Voyage: Written as a poem, Roger Goodman details his last voyage to Easter Island, why he’s interested in the myths of The Hidden Mysteries, why his crew mutinied, and how he’s going to die there. Ironically, he speculates that the curse of his ring may be real, indeed. This story was written by an unconfirmed author.
- A Silent Voice: Two years after defeating the Masked Murderer, Rebecca Fernsworth is about to head off to college with her boyfriend, Brandon Meyers. But during their summer trip to New England, she begins to be haunted by a specter that is interested in Brandon's insecurities. Are her fears of going insane from the knowledge of the multiverse coming true, or is there a spirit out to get her boyfriend? This story was written by an unconfirmed author.
- The Multiversal Manifesto: This in-universe publication foreshadows future plot twists in the stories that follow. When a technician at Lens Pioneers, LTD. named Troy DeWitt raises concerns about the tragic turns of events in an alternate universe he was helping to research, CEO Howard Simmons publishes this manifesto to makes himself clear: it is no one's place to interfere with the events of the multiverse, for the consequences could be far worse than anyone could have possibly thought. This story was written by PeabodySam.
- Patrick the Feared: What if…Patrick Hooligans decided to not go backpacking across Europe in 1997? Not being very bright, but still coming from a family that can be active, he ends up coming under the wing of Don Bricassius. He becomes his enforcer and cements his employer’s reign of terror over LEGO City. Running short on options in the year 2006, the last honest cop in town, Chase McCain, has to make the hard choice to call upon the one person that he knows can take down the pair: Silencia Venomosa. This story was written by PeabodySam. (This story canonically takes place in Dimension 9431.)
- Electric Head in the Digital Cloud: What if…everyone knew that Ogel escaped during his battle with Alpha Team agent Zed? Alpha Team remains on high alert and hunts the globe for three more years, but no signs of Ogel turn up. It turns out that Ogel has been using this time to not only concoct another scheme, but also to implement it to conquer the world with the most unorthodox methods possible! Will Alpha Team be able to figure out what Ogel’s scheme exactly is in this seemingly-normal world before his domination is complete? This story was written by an unconfirmed author. (This story canonically takes place in Dimension 61770.)

Within a year, China collapses into complete civil war, both Hong Kong and Taiwan use this opportunity to declare their independence, and global economies dependent on Chinese imports collapse or shift gears. In 2013, the civil war rages on, and with global supply chains only beginning to rebound, marine biologist Sarah Thunder decides to avenge her father’s death. Chaos ensues as the zombie pirates attack everyone, but will Jim Carew try to use the Hidden Mysteries to use the zombies as part of his plan? This story was written by an unconfirmed author. (This story canonically takes place in Dimension 601.)
- A Costly Price to Pay: What if…Dr. Wallace Bishop’s first multiverse experiment ended in failure? By trying to access Dimension 525, an explosion kills both Wallace Bishop and Astrid Dunham. This event also releases a massive amount of carbon and energy from both realities into the atmosphere, causing massive climate change. In this increasingly-hostile world, a growing Amanda Remous must learn to cope, while caring for those who need it. This story was written by PeabodySam. (This story canonically takes place in Dimension 8231, the Antiverse.)
Basking in Fields of Green is Anticipating a Release on July 14, 2024!
Our first-ever romance will ring in the summer's BRAWL 2024 competition in a way like no other! This film is a reboot of the never-released film Love and Kisses, thus marking the end of our quest to use contests to revive older concepts that were never realized! We want to use this film to explore romance in the modern world (pending BRAWL 2024's theme announcement), as well as introduce brand-new characters for the cinematic universe!
Cooking With Flex: Recipes from Around Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s Cinematic Universe is Anticipating a Release on August 1, 2024!
Hungry for more? This cookbook will make a cook out of any Mustache Maniacs Film Co. fan! This free-to-read book will allow you to cook over 30 recipes that canonically exist in the cinematic universe (sorry, no Pippin's Jungle Juice Blend in here) and eat the treats that until now you've only seen on the screen! From Fang Fruit Salad (from Howling Hollow: The Forest of Fear) and Homefront Doughnuts (from Kilroy Was Here!) all the way to Cabana Complimentary Dinner Rolls (from The Employee of the Month) and even the infamous Christmas Delights (from A Very Patrick Christmas), every appetite will have something to eat in here! So why is the book titled Cooking With Flex? Because the book is written as if it was written in-universe by Alpha Team ropes expert and team chef Flex in order to explain why so many different recipes exist in one book!
Alms Pouch: Finished At Last! is Anticipating a Release on August 16, 2024!
This project has been in limbo for far too long, so to commemorate this film and some of our films from our later years (2011-2016), we're finally, completely, after too long, AT LAST!, going to finish this film! It will be similar to the original version, but like what was announced before, we plan on remaking some of the animation that is not up to our current standards. The story will remain the same, but this upgrading and enhancement is one that will find you elated! It certainly will for us! Reanimating will begin later this year, with updates appearing here and there throughout next spring.
Greed and Grit is Anticipating a Release on September 14, 2024!
For the past several years, one of our writers, John Hitchcock, has been hard at work writing a dark western film all about greed, the price we pay for our selfishness, and adapting to a changing world. That film, Greed and Grit, will finally mark is official debut on September 14 as our entry into Bricks In Motion's annual major competition. The film centers around a band of robbers, their internal rivalries, and a treasure hunt that tests their loyalty, as well as a vengeance-driven sheriff. We don't plan on beginning production until the contest begins (most likely in late July), but we are excited to finally explore the Wild West outside of the life of Ulysses S. Powell!
Van Helbrick and the Monster Fighters is Anticipating a Release on October 18, 2024!
The Holy Land Paragon is Anticipating a Release on November 30, 2024!
The Archivist is Anticipating a Release on December 20, 2024!
Just like how we ended Ten Years of Going Crazy! with the release of Where It All Began, which was the very first film we ever created, we have one more surprise up our sleeves that will be released just in time for Christmas tilted The Archivist! We aren't going to say too much about what this film will entail, but we will say that this film will be similar to its predecessor in that it will be intrinsically tied to our history, as well as feature Christmas to a certain capacity. However, unlike that past film, this film will feature lots of animation as a framing device instead of just releasing old footage.
Lead Out
So as one anniversary arrives, we have simply primed you for next year, with plenty of wonders to look forward to! We'll see you all then, as well as with this year's releases!
