"The Recycling Enigma" Arrives, Wasting Nothing and Reusing Everything!
By: Andrew Bermudez
(Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; April 1, 2021)
It's April, and today marks the debut of our very first announced project from 2/1/21! Are you ready to bask in this recycled and reused fun? If this film, on the other hand, looks familiar, there's a reason for that.
The Recycling Enigma has been Released!
To start off, we have a brand-new film, titled The Recycling Enigma, ready for your viewing pleasure! This dramatic comedy film is not only filled with surprises galore, it's also the world's first 100% recycled film! If you want to know what that looks like, check out the film right here!
Did That Film Look Familiar? April Fools!
Ha! We got you! While we are right in that this film is 100% recycled, that's only because the film recycles footage from our other films to...kind of make a (somewhat) cohesive film. On top of that, even the music and sound effects were recycled from our other films! Really, the title treatment and credits are the only elements created just for this film. In other words, this film isn't even 100% recycled (it's more of 99.3%)! The only question now is...how do we top THIS joke (or rather, does this joke top Rap-Trick?). If you were questioning what this film means for our new sustainability initiative, well, not much. Read on.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Ever since the release of New Friends ~ An Environmental Fable in 2013, we've grown our commitment to sustainability by taking direct actions that will help our environment for future generations. Today, we now have a multi-faceted approach towards helping our world be a better place to live. When it comes to our film productions, we're minimizing the amount of paper that we use for production documents by maximizing our digital archive, only printing out or writing down on paper what we absolutely must. For any paper documents that are deemed to be a clog of space and need to be disposed of, all papers are to be recycled properly. And while we have embraced streaming and digital downloads through our online network, we still have a massive stack of hardware from our early years that has remained unused. We strive to divert what we can away from landfills, so all of this remaining hardware will be spent in unique and creative ways, allowing what would otherwise be thrown away to be cherished for generations. We will only partner online with responsible affiliates that guarantee that excess products are never sent to landfills, but are rather put into circulation, such as with our online store. In addition, the products in our store will be made with the best in eco-friendly materials, allowing our fans to be responsible while showing off their admiration for our work. We will never use our environmental practices as a means of vanity publicity, but as a way to make a true difference in the world. Otherwise, we may all be left with just the Hall of Extinction.
The Trailer for On The Theme Park Loop is Coming this Weekend!
If you're a fan of theme parks, you'll want to check out the trailer for the all-new editorial docuseries, On The Theme Park Loop, which is coming this weekend! It's a summary of what to expect from the show, as well as a place to reach the show's new YouTube Channel, which will also launch this weekend. While the show deals in very real topics about the themed entertainment industry, expect lots of the wit and humor that you've come to love from Mustache Maniacs Film Co.! More details will be revealed when we cover the results announcement for the LEGO Ideas contest that Without a Blacksmith was submitted into.
Commercials, Trailers, and More: All of the Other Videos that We Released Today!
If that wasn't enough, we've released four back-logged behind the scenes videos from years' past! It's not a complete collection and it's completely modified from the announcement from December 2020 (the Art Treasures video has been pushed back to 2024 for our twentieth anniversary), but it catches up on some unfinished business, including completing the slate of behind the scenes content for New Friends ~ An Environmental Fable! We also have our very first website ad finished, which should encourage visits there from the YouTube Channel. To make a long story short, here are the videos that were released today. Click on each title to watch that respective video.

We're looking for talented voice actors to play the six elemental ninja, so if you know of anyone who is interested in acting, or if you want to act yourself, head on over to the official audition page and see if you have what it takes to play one of these six iconic characters!
