    We have been working on a lot of upcoming content for the next several years, and with Patrick: The Movie and The Happiness Fund now behind us, we are pleased to announce a new slate of content to run alongside Project U! Please bear with us, however, as this is what we are aiming for with our release schedule. These release timeframes are not set in stone and are subject to change, though we will post any information regarding any changes if they do occur.

    For starters, we have a video that covers most of the announcements in this article, including a recap of what has been announced prior to today. You can get a head-start on the news by watching the video at this link, or you can jump straight into the announcements below.

Visualizing The Unrealized: A New Wiki Project Starting this Year!

    It comes as no surprise that images can make any length of text more interesting to the eye (take this press release for example). Our official wiki is no exception, as we like to add images when they're available, but therein lies the problem: WHEN they're available. While some pages have many images, others have none at all, especially the pages for unreleased films that were cancelled before any real progress was made (such as Fear Island). Therefore, if literally no images exist for a cancelled film, we're going to create a visual painting that shows what direction the project might have gone in had it not been cancelled. We are exempting certain films, however, for reasons covered shortly in this article.

Massive Website Updates are Coming: Our Online Store is Returning by July 1, 2021!

    Back on January 10, we had already revolutionized how we create our films by inviting creative minds to engage with us by becoming official affiliate actors, directors, writers, animators, editors, and more, but now we're taking additional steps to grow our website further. We're resurrecting our online store in brand-new ways, with 100% new merchandise and complete marketing! We're going to be expanding our selection this time around, as well as push the store with marketing throughout our network and beyond! Here's what you need to know.

1. If we've already released any content for free, it will not suddenly go behind a paywall for this store. In other words, what's already out there will stay out there.
2. With that said, there is the chance that a purchasing option will exist for content that is already free. For example, while all of our original soundtracks are (and still will be) available to listen to for free, we are looking into selling albums of this music as well.
3. We will currently not charge for any of our films, not even with the aforementioned purchasing option. In the future, this may change, but the first point will stay in effect.
4. We will respect existing agreements related to rights ownership, such as LEGO's Fair Play Policy.
5. We will NOT recycle any designs from the previous two stores (Mustache Max's Merchandise Market and 2-Gen Art). All designs will be 100% new.
6. We will market this store outside of our network, so artwork not related to Mustache Maniacs Film Co. will be available (though these works will be approved for adapting into a story by our story team, if they so choose).
7. Some pieces of merchandise may or may not be canonical for the cinematic universe. The story team will decide where this applies on a case-by-case basis.

While we do not have a full merchandise line-up for this store announced yet, we do know that it will open up shop by July 1, 2021. A full merchandise event showcasing our day 1 selection will happen this spring. For the rest of our website, we plan on adding some other new features, such as memberships, update notifications, seamless network navigation, overhauls for select thumbnails, a loyalty program, an event calendar, a mini-site to listen to and buy our music, a mini-site for business inquiries, and live chatting with an all-new chatbot mascot named 'Stache Bot! We've also restructured some of our navigation, which builds upon last year's site update, so keep an eye out for that! There's also going to be a massive clean-up of the website's data, but we guarantee that this will not affect the look of our website in any way or its functionality. We have started all of this recently with the removal of this press room's ads, which have not generated any profit for us. And on top of all of this, Andrew Bermudez Art will officially become part of our Online network! All of this will be done by the time that the store opens. But we do have one piece of merchandise ready to announce!

The Holy Land Paragon is a Brand-New Illustrated Novel, Coming September 1, 2021!

    We've looked at ways to expand this store beyond our films, and we're starting this off with this all-new book, which we'll be using to engage all-new fans who may not have even seen our films. This book, titled The Holy Land Paragon will be an all-new adventure story (in a similar vein to Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo and Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra) tailor-made for families with Gen Z (or Zoomers, as they're apparently being called) kids, with also an emphasis on diversity, as we've outlined last year in our commitment to equality. This book will be for sale only, but we will be selling it in places beyond our own store (such as Amazon.com) to capture an even wider audience. We also cannot say whether or not this book will be canonical (we will let the story team decide that at a later time). In the meantime, here is the plot summary.

    Best friends, rich party animal Blaine McDermont and proactive introvert Steve Washburn, are students at UCLA who are out for the summer on vacation. But when Steve's archaeologist graduate intern sister Lily disappears at a dig in the Middle East, the two find themselves in the midst of a scheme by fellow graduate student Monty Khan, who is after the legendary Sword of Deborah and sees his sister as the only way to locate it! Soon, they're off in a race of biblical proportions to see who can claim the priceless artifact first!

Old Home Movies Will Get a Sequel, Old Home Movies 2: The Later Years on December 24, 2021!

    We don't have any plans to release this project online, but since this will affect our wiki's content, we are announcing here that the Bermudez Family home movies will be getting a sequel titled Old Home Movies 2: The Later Years. In a recent organizing of Martha Bermudez's estate (who recently passed away), tapes were discovered of previously-unknown footage! The footage on these tapes is being compiled into this new film, which is expected to have a shorter running time than the film that preceded it (which was 1 hour). This film will be released by the end of this year as a Christmas present, just like the film that preceded it.

THAC and BRAWL Entries are Going to Resurrect Select Cancelled Films!

    Over the years, we've naturally created film ideas that never went beyond the pre-production stage for various reasons. Well, starting with BRAWL 2021, to ride on the success of Johnny Thunder and the Trail of Botnik, we're going to produce some of our previously-cancelled films as THAC and BRAWL entries! We've also included some original ideas into the mix that are ripe for production via these annual traditions, and we feel that they are versatile enough to fit any prompted theme that comes our way! They are, in no particular order:

• Love and Kisses (Unrealized Film Reboot)
• Bradford Rant: Beginnings (New Film Concept)
• Tale of Ulysses (New Film Concept)
• Officer Spot (Unrealized Film Reboot)
• Hunted: A (Not) Bigfoot Story (Unrealized Film Reboot)
• Venomosa: The Bounty of Billy (Semi-Reboot of Silence of Another Past)
• Agent Thorgood (Semi-Reboot of Mission: Klaus)

We do not expect to produce these in the order listed, but rather pick the story that best dovetails into the prompted theme for production. There may also be times where we don't pick any of the above films, in the chance that none of the above fit the theme provided. We also have the option to use these concepts for other upcoming contests, such as Bricks in Motion's annual summer contest. Finally, please bear in mind that this resurrects only the concepts of each of these films. All of the previously-developed story material for these project's original forms will be discarded in favor of brand-new stories, characters, and more (there's a reason that these films were cancelled in the first place, after all). The first of these will be Venomosa: The Bounty of Billy, and will be produced as either part of BRAWL 2021 or Bricks In Motion's summer contest.

History Will Be Made on April 1, 2021 with The Recycling Enigma, the World's First Renewable, Fully-Recycled Movie!

    We have constantly pushed our own boundaries when it comes to our own movie productions, but now, we are ready to create a milestone in Hollywood History: the World's first 100% renewable, fully-recycled movie! "We have always pushed to perform our studio tasks responsibly," said LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew. "When this project was pitched to the board of directors, we were excited to hear about this innovative project. It's being developed behind closed doors, so we have no idea what the director is creating, but we are sure that innovation is the backbone of this project." The film has been in development since this past Thanksgiving and is expected to debut this Spring, just in time for Earth Month. In the meantime, here is the official description, provided by the director.

    Sam is an all-around eco-friendly guy, but when he's captured by what seems to be an anti-environmentalist group, the police scramble to find the culprit. But where their trail leads them takes them to places they never thought they would find! In addition to this film's message, this is also the world's first 100% recycled film that lives up to its title!

Experience a New Ninja Adventure with Ninjago: Master of Fear, Coming August 13, 2021!

    In celebration of Ninjago's 10th anniversary, this all-new mini adventure follows up on the events of Ninjago: Visions of Memories! A dark entity only known as the Master of Fear has stolen the Blade of Recollection and has plunged Ninjago Island into a time of fear. The six ninjas have tracked the Master of Fear to the mythical Palace of Premonition, but in order to stop this menace from destroying the island, some of the ninjas will need to come to terms with their own inner fears! But who is this Master of Fear, and what does he or she want at the Palace of Premonition?

    We've been looking for ways to experiment with what our films can do and how audiences can engage with the film, and Ninjago: Master of Fear delivers on a brand-new front for us: role-playing games! The film itself is being written to stand alone, but audiences that want to interact with the full adventure will want to check out the companion game Ninjago: Journey to the Master of Fear, which allows fans to play through this film's prologue! Set to be released the same day as the film in question, the game will use a gaming system similar to that found in the "Choose Your Path" game included with some of the LEGO Ninjago Master of the Mountain sets. More details on both the film and the game will come later this year!

Alms Pouch: Finished at Last! is Coming November 12, 2021!

    After six years in the making, Alms Pouch: Finished At Last! will complete the animation Alms Pouch in ways that you've never expected! A homeless woman named Martha Parker is lonely on a bench until a stranger tries to woo her. As he abruptly leaves, Martha realizes that he's the notorious criminal Willie Swipe! Having stolen her money and locket, Martha pursues Willie in an effort to get them back! Will she succeed?

Find Out the Fate of Nevada Smith's Camel in Camel: The Movie, Coming April 1, 2022!

    We all knew that Patrick: The Movie would go on to be a success, so we're going to ride off of that success with that spin-off's own spin-off, Camel: The Movie! Coming in the Spring of 2022, this short comedy will explore the history of the camel featured in that film, as well as where it ran off to after escaping from Sobek-Ra! Here's the official description.

    When Sobek-Ra attacked Nevada Smith's gang during their expedition in Egypt in 1998, what ever became of that camel that the stone guardian spooked and scared off into the desert? Discover the answer and follow the hilarious misadventures and hardships of this trusty desert pack animal known only as Camel.

Speeder is Speeding Back from Cancellation in 2022!

    On their first date, a girl's boyfriend drives his car too fast, leaving her in a panic and leading them in a police pursuit through Bluebell National Park. When all is resolved in this remake of a pre-formation era film, something special happens that no one could have seen coming!

    This film has seen a very staggered production, as it has frequently fallen into, and emerged from, cancellation, but this time, we are producing this film once and for all! We will be using the original production documents that were created back in 2011 for this project, including the storyboards, script, and more!

A Future in the Past is Coming in 2022!

    The Time Cruisers team up with Civil War veteran Ulysses S. Powell to see what really happened to Dr. Bradford Rant back in 1985 with their Hypno Cruiser time machine. Instead, they wind up in the year 5481, where humanity, leaving a desolate surface of Earth behind, has moved directly beneath the Hall of Extinction to an underground city. But when Professor Millennium and Tony Twister steal the time machine, it becomes an all-out chase across history! Prepare for the chase of all lifetimes, as our time travelers come face-to-face with some of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s most iconic characters! This release is part of Project U.

Venture to the Beginning of Alpha Team with Alpha Team: Mission Deep Past, Coming in 2023!

    Alpha Team has put the training for their recruits on hold when reports come in of people around the world behaving...strangely. Random civilians have been caught performing illegal activities, then immediately forgetting what they've done, so it's up to Alpha Team to see what's going on. However, this mystery reaches far back into the past, connecting Alpha Team's origins to Ogel's rise to villainy in ways that neither side ever thought possible!

Celebrate Twenty Years of Mustache Maniacs Film Co. with Twenty Years Young in 2024!

    April 18, 2024 is our official twentieth anniversary, so we're going to turn 2024 into one big birthday party! Similar to Ten Years of Going Crazy!, Twenty Years Young will celebrate the occasion with new content, including the following.

• A new cookbook, titled Cooking with Flex: Recipes from Around Mustache Maniacs Film Co.’s Cinematic Universe, which will be written in-universe by Flex from Alpha Team and will feature working recipes for fully-canonical foods, such as Christmas Delights, dishes from Bubba's Restaurant, and others.
• A new anthology book, titled Stories Untold: A Collection of Short Stories, which will tell additional stories that flesh out the cinematic universe. All of these short stories will be 100% canonical and the book will be available exclusively through our online store.
• A new contest, Canonical Capers Contest, which will be virtually identical to The Quest for Canonization contest held back in 2015. The story team will be responsible for judging the entries.
• The return of Wiki Mondays titled Wiki Mondays: Celebration of Characters and Capers, which will be curated by our story team.
• New behind the scenes material for past projects.
• Tribute montage on the actual, to-the-day anniversary.
• Re-edits of previously-lost films that will be added to our library. We will gauge fan reception between June through November of this year to see whether or not there is any interest for these films to be released online.

In addition to this, we are also planning on releasing legacy soundtracks on our Music Channel on YouTube! What are legacy soundtracks, you may be wondering? They are the soundtracks that are either from films that are currently not available online, demo or temp tracks that were later replaced, or are the soundtracks from the original version of a film. We currently have two, Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile and Com 50 and 007, on that channel, and we'll be adding more soundtracks between now and 2024, in addition to routine maintenance of that channel's playlists, including the following:

The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards is Coming in 2024!

    It's been some time since we've hosted a fan choice awards, but in celebration of our twentieth anniversary, we're going to be hosting the next fan choice awards early in 2024! Voting will be held between June 2023 and September 2023, with the timeframe for new films to be considered being from July 2016 to May 2023. The competition is expected to be heated at this fan choice awards, with so many fan favorite films up for consideration, so be sure to vote when the time comes! This release is part of the Twenty Years Young anniversary celebration.

Get Ready for a Film Adaptation of Atlanta Nights, Coming in 2024!

    We've told original stories and stories adapted from LEGO's play themes, but today, we're ready to announce our first animated adaptation of a novel: Atlanta Nights! Based on the novel by Travis Tea, Atlanta Nights follows the lives of several Atlanta socialites, who become consumed by the murder of businessman Henry Archer. While this film will still be a romantic one, the contents will be toned down for a family audience, with most of the book's signature misdirection included. Other plot?-important details, such as the characters' relationships and the big reveal, are being lovingly preserved with the book's original intent in mind. Clearly, with the blessing of an author with a name like Travis Tea, you can be assured that this adaptation will be the year's most talked-about romance! Van Helbrick and the Monster Fighters is Coming in 2024!

    Remember that vampire hunter, Arthur Van Helbrick, from Forest of Fear? After his cameo, he's going to tell his own story of how he learned his craft. To do that, travel back to 1938 and see how things were different. Van Helbrick was once a brash young man, but with the help of Dr. Rodney Rathbone, he not only works with the famed Monster Fighters to take down Lord Vampyre and stop his plans to eclipse the sun, he also learns the importance of responsibility. This release is part of the Twenty Years Young anniversary celebration, as well as Project U.

Celebrate Johnny Thunder's Beginning in 2024 with Johnny Thunder and the Rise to Fame!

    It's the night before the wedding of Sarah Thunder and Lance Spears, and Johnny Thunder, in his mad dash to get everything ready, stumbles across his photo journal from when he first became an adventurer! After breaking up with Miss Calliope Shaw and moving to LEGO City in 1988, he is sent by the LEGO City Museum on a trek up to Alaska to find a royal treasure! He's paired up with reporter Pippin Reed, archaeologist Dr. Kilroy, and ace pilot Harry Cane for the journey, but a German art thief by the name of Lord Samuel Rudolph Sinister is after the Czarist treasure as well! This exciting origin story is full of quick twists and turns that shape Johnny into the world-famous adventurer that he is today! This release is part of the Twenty Years Young anniversary celebration.

    In the same spirit as Johnny Thunder and the Trail of Botnik, we've thought about creating another short animation that captures the spirit of the feature-length Johnny Thunder films. This time, we're planning on telling the story of how Johnny Thunder became the legend that he is today (in-universe, at least), with events that shape him into the person that he is in the main saga, though some notable omissions have to exist. "This origin story takes place in 1988, so our fans will have to accept that some characters just won't be around," said LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew. "There's going to be no Patrick, no Billy the Kid, no Nevada Smith, no John Parker, no Sarah Thunder, no Lance Spears, no Dan Brown, no Hiram Aziz, no Blake Greenton, no Gertrude Dainman, and no Robert Teabing. In fact, don't expect much in the way of characters, even if the story is framed as a flashback, which at least allows for some of the preceding characters to have cameos in the film's bookends." Going on, he added, "On the flipside, there is a good chance that we'll finally see, for the first time ever, characters that have only been mentioned in passing in the official canon, such as Immanuel Twarra, Kelly Thunder, and Priscilla Graviator." This film is expected to be released sometime in the Fall of 2024.

    Welcome to the world of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.! Contained in these pages is the third edition of our popular visual dictionary, updated and expanded to include the journey of Project U, our recently-formed story team, several formerly-unreleased films previously thought to be lost, and so much more! Follow the twenty-year history of Mustache Maniacs Film Co., as two brothers named Daniel and Andrew Bermudez created a world of funny characters, fantastic adventures, gripping stories, and shocking plot twists! Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo: The Adventure Retold is Coming in 2025!

    While COVID-19 slowed down production on this re-imagining of the acclaimed animated film Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo, it could do nothing to stop this project from happening, and now this story is being updated for the modern day with respect for the original film! "We are confident that fans of the original will embrace this remake," said director Steven Lawrence. "We wanted to honor the original film and what it did to launch our online presence while tackling some of the issues that the film has faced since its release in 2008, especially in light of last year's protests." Production for this film is expected to begin later this year alongside the development of our other projects. In the meantime, you can read all about this project in our first look here.     Join the Adventurers on an Orient Expedition! When Block Sauniere is murdered in Venice by an unknown assassin, Johnny Thunder and the Adventurers discover that he's been guarding what is perhaps Marco Polo's greatest secret: an ancient Golden Dragon given to him by Kublai Khan! To find the dragon, they must first trek across Asia to recover the fabled Golden Armor to unlock its final resting place. Unfortunately, things become complicated when Lord Sinister, Johnny's arch-enemy, allies himself with Chang Wu, an insane electrician who has led an uprising and conquered the city of Xi'an, in order to find the Golden Dragon first! Soon, both are racing neck-to-neck to find the treasure first! From the jungles of India to the peak of Mt. Everest, this classic adventure is being re-imagined for the modern day with all-new scenes, intrigue, and comedy!

Alpha Team: Mission Deep City is Coming in 2025!

    Ogel is back, and he's come with a vengeance! Enlisting the help of a former Bradford Rant Institute scientist now named Dr. Inferno, Ogel has taken over Blackwell Mansion as his new headquarters. To combat this new threat, Alpha Team teams up with police officers Chase McCain, Frank Honey, and Duke Detain to go undercover and find out what Ogel really wants. If that's not enough, danger lurks in the Bluebell Mine that is going to affect the future of Project U! This release is part of Project U.

Johnny Thunder and the Wonders Beneath the Waves is Coming in 2026!

    Johnny Thunder and all of your favorite Adventurers are back for an undersea adventure! When Samantha Rhodes and Ace Speedman find an ancient journal detailing treasure troves in the Bermuda Triangle, Johnny, Pippin, Dr. Kilroy, and the rest of the adventurers are quick to go on another adventure! However, Lord Sinister and Patrick hear about it, too. When these two rival teams come face-to-face for an underwater treasure hunt, the action, the comedy, and the Patrick, Shut Up's are going to be non-stop! This release is part of Project U.

    This unusual direction for the Johnny Thunder Saga is one that we were careful to make, with concern that this film would feel out of place with the other Johnny Thunder films. However, we were able to write this script based on LEGO's 2007 Aqua Raiders sets by seeing how the fan favorite characters would react. By sticking various characters into Project U-related situations, we were able to guide this underwater mystery into places we never would have imagined! Jake Raines is on Another Historical Adventure in 2027 with Pharaoh's Quest: Tyrant of the Chaco!

    Due to popular demand, Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra is now getting its own official sequel! Taking the historical accuracy of the first film even further, this film takes place during the historical Chaco War between Paraguay and Bolivia! Amset-Ra may be nowhere in this film, but we have even used the history of the region to include the reanimated remains of a real-life conquistador! Here is the full description.

    Nine years after defeating Amset-Ra, Jake Raines, Mac McCloud, Helena Skvalling, and Prof. Archibald Hale are international celebrities. But when Nazi Archaeological Expeditions leader Sergo T. Valgo resurrects the preserved remains of Portuguese Conquistador Aleixo Garcia to find the city of the "White King," Jake and company race to Paraguay to investigate these stories. Soon, the four are caught up in the Chaco War between Paraguay and Bolivia, constantly finding themselves fighting for their lives as they hunt down this new undead threat that has the power to turn the tide of the war!

    When Hayman Talon, the evil spy from Com 50-3: Raid on Central Island, tries to resurrect Cal Pada with the help of a man named Baron Typhonus, scientists at Dr. Leinad Laboratories are ready to retaliate by recruiting five aspiring people to become their secret weapon - genetically-engineered super soldiers! It doesn't come easy for them to work together however, as their leader Zac Fernstein used to date another member of the team, Jessica Thompson, and she's less than thrilled to see him. As the team struggles to stop Hayman and settle their differences, they'll meet a colorful cast of characters, including no-nonsense Shadyville police chief Della Wickfield, clueless Leo Rawlins, and eccentric Engineer Max! This release is part of Project U.

Celebrate Our 25th Anniversary in 2029 with The Silver Celebration!

    Yes, we are already thinking ahead to our 25th anniversary celebration on a certain level, but beyond the official title, we don't have much ready (or even planned) for this anniversary celebration, at least not at the moment. We have confirmed that a 25th Anniversary tribute montage will be released on April 18, 2029, but our plans at the moment are focusing squarely on Twenty Years Young and Project U. However, you can expect to see any or more of the following:

• The Fifth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards
• Another THAC Contest Entry
• Another Visual Dictionary Edition (though this is more likely to be released after Legends of the Universe, in order to get that film into the book).
• Another BRAWL Contest Entry

We can confirm, though, that it will be a small celebration (like our 15th anniversary), mainly to keep our workload focused on finishing Legends of the Universe. We'll make a formal announcement after Twenty Years Young has wrapped up, with a full content line-up planned. Stay tuned for that!

Mysteries of the Arctic is Coming in 2030!

    As Project U begins to reach its close, Samantha Rhodes and Jeff Fisher are sent to Polar Base in northern Alaska to investigate some recent meteorite landings. Soon, no one is safe as the creatures inside begin to wreak havoc in the frozen north! With no way to return to the outside world, the scientists are left to their own means to destroy the alien creatures! Will they succeed? This release is part of Project U.

    Since this film ties so closely into Legends of the Universe, we've decided to release this arctic adventure as close as we can to the said film's release date. We don't have an exact timeframe, but we're expecting this film to be released three months prior, even though most of the filming most likely won't start until, at the earliest, 2027 (some shots were filmed as part of Patrick: The Movie, as that film shares one of this film's sets).

Legends of the Universe is Coming in 2030!

    Project U officially ends with this colossal cross-over event that will bring the entire Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Cinematic Universe together on-screen! When Ogel enlists the help of Baron Typhonus, Lord Sam Sinister, The Brickster, Questions, and other villains to help him conquer the world, Alpha Team retaliates by calling in help from those who best know these villains. But Ogel's plan to open a gateway to another dimension is catastrophic, fusing the two together! There seems to be no way to fix it...or is there? Making an entrance, Ulysses S. Powell has a plan that is sure to work: take Dr. Cyber's time machine back to before the fusion and stop it from happening. The only hitch is that the time machine was split into parts that are scattered around the world. Time is not on their side, and someone doesn't want them to succeed. If these legends of the universe don't work together, the two dimensions could remain fused forever! This release is part of Project U.

    To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the launch of LEGO Universe, we're going to release the grand, four-hour finale to Project U as close as we can to October 26, the actual anniversary, at least that's what we're aiming for. While filming on this production has yet to commence, it is expected to begin in 2024 as we wrap up Twenty Years Young.
