Welcome to Villains' Month!

 By: Andrew Bermudez

(Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; October 1, 2020)

Boo! Halloween may look different this year, but that doesn't mean that we can't have a frightfully fun time! Here's everything that we're doing to give you a good scare, plus more!

Wiki Mondays Presents: Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Villains!

Watch out for villains on the wiki! Throughout the month of October, we're going to be highlighting different Mustache Maniacs Film Co. villains! Every week, we're going to be featuring a different villain on the homepage of the wiki, but that's not all! As Wiki Mondays continues its brief return, we're going to be giving some of our villains their own articles! Here are the articles that will be added during this time.

  • October 5, 2020: Henrie Theo
  • October 12, 2020: Long John Sliver
  • October 19, 2020: Amset-Ra
  • October 26, 2020: Bob
That last one is quite an anomaly, as Bob doesn't classify as a villain. But that's because October 26 is a very special day, both for Mustache Maniacs Film Co. fans and fans of the late LEGO Universe! Read on to find out why!

First-Ever Teaser for Legends of the Universe Debuts October 26, 2020!

October 26, 2020 is, to the day, the tenth anniversary of the fan favorite, but short-lived, MMORPG LEGO Universe. To celebrate, we're going to release the first-ever teaser for the film that is based upon the game, Legends of the Universe! While filming has yet to commence on what is expected to be the longest brickfilm of all time, the teaser does a great job of establishing the mood for the film while showcasing only a handful of the characters that will appear in the said film! Legends of the Universe itself, however, has no release date, though it will be the very last film for Project U.

Beware the Stromling Attack On October 25, 2020!

However, just one day before, stromlings, the chaotic beings commanded by Baron Typhonus to destroy all creation, will take over the wiki and press room, plus more! Here on the press room, we'll especially be pleased to unveil the final designs for the stromlings that will appear in Legends of the Universe and other Project U films! While we originally had several versus posters planned, we are now saving those for closer to the film's release. Instead, we'll be sharing promotional stills of the designs, along with more spooky LEGO Universe-related fun!

New Book is Finally Coming October 30, 2020!

It's been a long time coming, but the book Cities That You Must Absolutely, Positively Stay Out Of To Avoid Being Eaten Alive is finally coming October 30, 2020! This frightfully fun parody of your standard travel guide is filled with all of the hauntingly hilarious sights from the smash-hit film Forest of Fear that the author wishes that you don't see, along with some new, never-before-seen sights from the upcoming animated spin-off Van Helbrick and the Monster Fighters! Upon release, the book will be available for download from our website.

Our Story Team Officially Forms!

In other news, today is finally the day! We would like to introduce our brand-new story team, which will be in charge of maintaining the official canon, as well as writing new stories for us. Currently, the only member of our story team is John Hitchcock, who we introduced to you all recently. However, if you would like to join our story team, send us a message on our website via the "Contact" page. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

What's To Come in 2021?

Now, with the year coming to a close and only one project still aiming for release by the new year (Patrick: The Movie), you might be wondering what we have planned next year. To summarize, we aren't committing to anything at the moment, but besides completing the new studio, the only other plan that we have next year is to announce everything that we have planned through our twentieth anniversary in 2024. This will mostly encompass new film releases, but will also include some other small projects. An announcement with finalized title treatments will come early next year.

Lead Out

Despite everything that is going on right now, we have a massive slate of content coming your way, with more news to come! Stay tuned!
