"The Employee of the Month" Will Bring Septemberfest to the Office on October 30, 2020!

(Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; October 9, 2020)

In a surprise twist, we have another new film coming in just a few weeks! This is all in celebration of the widely-proclaimed The Citizen of the Year! All of this and more is waiting for you today!

The Employee of the Month is Coming October 30, 2020!

In celebration of Septemberfest, we're commemorating this holiday in the brickfilming community...at the office! Written in the same style as the widely-proclaimed greatest brickfilm of all time, The Citizen of the Year, this new film, titled The Employee of the Month follows an employee named Paul, who tries his best to earn the title of Employee of the Month at his workplace. This heartfelt and humorous script is the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. writing debut for John Hitchcock, the first member of our story team. Here is the official description, provided by the film's writer.

Paul is an employee at a boring office where he feels unappreciated and unrecognized. After watching his colleague Emily receive Employee of the Month, Paul finds himself jealous of her success and tries to push himself to do better, only to find himself struggling to meet impossible standards.

The film will be released on October 30, 2020.

First Look at Some Character Development Art!

If that's not enough, we have some artwork for this film that we would like to share, with a focus upon developing the film's characters! This office setting has everyone dressing almost the same, so we're looking at ways to make our main characters stand out in the crowd, while making the more plain characters and extras recede into the background. This will help in allowing the audience to visually navigate the story with ease, as well as tell who's who.

Patrick: The Movie Arrives December 25, 2020!

With functionality being restored to our studio's workflow, we are pleased to announce that Patrick: The Movie will be our very own Christmas Gift to our fan community! Filming isn't done, but we are in a place to quickly finish up this film once principal photography is complete for The Employee of the Month (though this does re-shuffle our previous shooting schedule). Needless to say, we are pleased to have this film finally ready for the world to see! A theatrical poster, as well as the official trailer, will both debut in November.

Secret 2021 Announcement: What to Generally Expect

We've shared recently that early in 2021, we're going to share details on upcoming projects, as well as announce some new ones, for release between February 2021 and December 2024 and beyond. We don't like to attach a release date to upcoming projects, but we are fairly confident that these projects can be completed within this time frame. So, what will come out of this announcement? You can generally expect the following.

  • Twentieth Anniversary Plans: We're currently formulating plans to celebrate our twentieth anniversary in 2024, but nothing is set in stone at the moment. However, this announcement will give everyone an idea of how we plan on celebrating.
  • Cancelled Film Revival Results: Our final decisions on reviving some of our cancelled films will be announced when the time comes.
  • New Rough Project U Timeline: With everything reshuffled, we'll take a look at how we plan on proceeding with Project U.
  • Additional Short Films: We'll announce some short films that we are planning on releasing between 2021 and 2023.
  • Rough Timelines for Alms Pouch: Finished At Last! and Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo: The Adventure Retold: We're also going to lay out a plan to finish these two remakes in the coming years.

Lead Out

That's all for today! Happy Septemberfest (in October!), stay safe, and when our next film is released...you know what to do.
