Studio Update: Where Our Current Projects Stand

With June now upon us, we have a more realistic timeline for all of our current projects for the remainder of the year. Let's get started!
COVID-19 and 2020: What's Next for Us?
With June now here, we have a more realistic timeline for all of our upcoming projects, though with the current situation, this could easily change at a moment's notice, so please take all of this information with a grain of salt.
One thing that you will not get here are release dates, unless we have a June or July release. Many of our projects still have a lot of work that needs to be put into them, so please bear with us. Beyond July, the best that we can currently give are estimates.
BRAWL Contest Entry - STATUS: Confirmed - Projected Release: June 28, 2020
We don't have many details on this project, though we'll have more details to share on June 21. However, we can confirm, due to the contest deadline, that the film will be released on June 28! We also want to explore a new character, though we could also go in a completely new direction.
DINO ATTACK: Saga of a Conflict - STATUS: In-Progress - Projected Release: July 1, 2020
This year marks the fifteenth anniversary of the Dino Attack RPG, which happens to fall on July 1. To commemorate that day, the RPG's lead author, PeabodySam, plans on releasing an enhanced re-written version of the entire RPG, and we want to commemorate that day by finishing and releasing the long-delayed DINO ATTACK: Saga of a Conflict. The first three comics have already been changed for the new preface format, and we look forward to releasing the rest on our anticipated date of July 1, 2020!
Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile: Special Edition - STATUS: In-Progress - Projected Release: July 17, 2020
This year is also the tenth anniversary of Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile, so we're doing something really special for this anniversary: we're bringing the film back for a special edition! The re-edit is currently going smoothly, with visual re-edits going well. Currently, the only major step that needs to be taken for this re-edit is the all-new original soundtrack that needs to be composed. The re-release will come on July 17, 2020, but advance previews will be conducted on July 16, 2020, the film's actual tenth anniversary.
Just last week, we announced that instead of just finishing the existing film, we're going to completely remake Alms Pouch for release later in the summer, in order to commemorate this film's fifth anniversary! This means, however, that timing means everything. We're re-designing the film's characters currently, with the rest of pre-production expected to be finished over the month of June. We're going to reuse the existing storyboards and soundtrack, but everything else will be re-worked from the ground up.
Cities That You Must Absolutely, Positively, Stay Out of to Avoid Being Eaten Alive - STATUS: In-Progress - Projected Release: Fall 2020
We haven't talked much about this book, but it is almost ready to debut for Halloween. Currently, we're revising the book and making notes of the illustrations that we're going to need, but otherwise, this book is just about ready to go.
Patrick: The Movie - STATUS: In-Progress - Projected Release: Late 2020/Early 2021
This highly-anticipated origin story for Patrick Hooligans is currently filming its main scenes, which constitute a majority of the film. Equipment issues have temporarily stalled production, but these have been resolved, so filming is now continuing. The film is currently set to be released around the end of the year, but the current state of the world has required the production team to have the option to delay the film to 2021 if they need to.
Project U: The Remaining Chapters - STATUS: In-Progress - Projected Release: Beyond 2021
As always, we're also still working hard on the remainder of Project U. The rewrites for the future films has concluded, which has resulted in the creation of new roles to fill. Later this year, we'll open those roles for auditioning, along with updating the audition sheets for Kai, Jay, Cole, Nya, Zane, and Lloyd with their new character designs.
In the meantime, as soon as Patrick: The Movie wraps up filming, a scene from Johnny Thunder and the Wonders Beneath the Waves that uses a set from Patrick: The Movie will be quickly filmed, then it's on to the rest of A Future in the Past, which finished its extensive rewrites a few months ago. Beyond saying 2021 or later, we have no release time frame for these films.
