New Content and Canon Updates in Time for Valentine's Day!

By: Andrew Bermudez
(Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; February 13, 2018)
This past weekend, we released a plethora of new content, just in time for Valentine's Day! All if this is covered in today's press release!

Crazy Compendium is Now Out!
The long-awaited anthology book, Crazy Compendium: The Early Writings of Andrew Bermudez, is now available to download! The book contains several stories, poems, and more by Andrew Bermudez from his childhood! The book also contains several newly-written stories that are considered canon in the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Cinematic Universe. Download the book by clicking on this sentence. Or, if you are still on the fence, here's the official description.
Before he created what is now known as Mustache Maniacs Film Co., Andrew Bermudez wrote a plethora of stories, poems, jokes, and more for both recreational and educational purposes. Many of these stories would eventually lead to many of the stylistic and written choices for his movies.
Now, for the first time ever, these original assignments and just-for-fun writings are being released for public consumption, accompanied by anecdotal notes by the author throughout, giving this anthology a conversational touch and revealing some of the thoughts that went into some of these stories.
Along with these writings, the volume also contains a selection of stories that have been re-written with a higher sense of vocabulary and narrative complexity, in order to showcase the growth in the author's literary skills.
All of this is contained in several, bite-size chapters, making this book easy to navigate and read. Read it cover-to-cover, or only read the writings that interest you!
The book introduces an all-new "Books" page for our website, while the malfunctioning "Library" page is phased out. The previously-released books will be available again in March. However, the first edition of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.: The Visual Dictionary will not be returning to avoid confusion for new fans.

Our Dead Movies Debuts!
After a slight delay, episode 1 of Our Dead Movies has arrived with an episode all about The Hit Man! For the first time ever, the film's story is read in its entirety for public consumption! The episode has been embedded below for your convenience.
As scheduled, we will have another episode later this month, which will focus on the ancient script LEGO Spiderman. Again, a full reading of the script will be featured.

Another Canon Update!
As with any new film releases, new canon updates are in order! Here's what's new for the official canon.

  • When Barrels Fly has been ret-conned and replaced with When Barrels Fly: Special Edition. From now on, the special edition version of the film will be referred to as simply When Barrels Fly.
  • Upon their releases, the special editions of The Adventures of Legoman, Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile, Wonders of Buoyancy, A Very Patrick Christmas, and Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo will replace their original cuts in the official timeline. For the time being, the original cuts are still canon.
  • The re-written stories from Crazy Compendium are now entering the official canon. Please consult the official timeline on the wiki for their placement in the cinematic universe.
  • After the introduction of Eridanus Cooke into the universe, Stephen Bishop's story Johnny Thunder and the King of the Gypsies is officially entering the canon. The modern day scenes take place February 2018 in Bucharest, Romania, and the flashback scenes (which are many) take place in 1977 in the Romanian countryside. This story is the property of Stephen Bishop, with certain elements being the property of the LEGO Group.
  • While this has actually been canon since May 2013, we had not revealed this until now due to the possibility of controversy. However, we feel that it is time to reveal this character facet. Cam Attaway, from Alpha Team: Mission Deep Jungle, is a homosexual, though she has no interest in Radia. This is why the grounded trust that Dash and Cam have for each other is not driven by love.
  • On the subject of Cam Attaway, we have now also explained her absence, along with Crunch, in Alpha Team: Mission Deep Freeze. They were now sent to Iran on a covert mop-up mission to clean up from Com 50's mission to destroy Cal Pada's headquarters.
  • Speaking of Com 50, he is now no longer considered active in the present day. His retirement day was April 20, 2010.
  • Also from Com 50, the never-used rank of O-T, or trainee, was stuck in canon limbo after O-T 3 was cut from Com 50-3: Raid on Central Island. However, we can now confirm that this rank name is not canon. Trainees are called just that.
  • The Drama Zone: Nightmare at Shady Acres now takes place in 2007, at least 2007 in Dimension 525.
As always, we are still fussing around with important details, but these changes will help you stay even more informed about the official cinematic universe!
