"Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra" Delayed into 2018!

     Today, we have some sad news regarding Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra. That and more news for Digital Decade is what's in store for today's news update!

Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra Delayed into 2018

     Probably the only reason you're reading this post, our upcoming animated film Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra has been delayed into 2018. This also means that the second trailer will not be released tomorrow as scheduled. While this is going to disappoint many of you, we do have ambitious plans to make this film look great. Because of that, we want to give ourselves time to really fine-tune the film and make it a film that looks truly great. We've just finished filming the flying mummy attack sequence, which is comprised almost entirely of chroma-keyed elements that will later be composited together, and we want this sequence to be our best flying sequence yet. In addition, there is still more of the movie to film, so we want that out of the way to allow for a more even release schedule for parts. That is, assuming we'll be releasing the film that way. Read on to see what we mean.

What Supplemental Material Do You Want to See During Digital Decade?

     We've already announced that the 20-month Digital Decade promotion is going to feature re-releases of our first six online films, as well as the releases of Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra and A Future in the Past. In addition, depending on our schedule, expect to see more BRAWL and THAC entries. However, Digital Decade is going to have so much more than that. But as we plan it out, we want to hear from YOU on what you would like us to try out over the course of the promotion. First, here's what we know for a fact is going to happen.

• Re-releases of When Barrels Fly, The Adventures of Legoman, Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile, Wonders of Buoyancy, A Very Patrick Christmas, and Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo.
• Releases of Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra and A Future in the Past.
• Backstage Showcase episodes correlating to our online films and their influence on our future.
• TBA 2018 Contest.
• TBA 15th Anniversary Surprise.

Now, here's what we're tossing around as potential material for the promotion. This is what you can vote on. More on that later.

In order to vote on this, just use the poll on the left side of this press room. The poll will run from now until December 1, 2017. We will then pursue the top 2-3 most wanted proposals (depending on what they are) using our own discretion. We also have another poll, also running until December 1, 2017, that asks how you like our longer films to be released and why. You'll find it underneath the other poll, also on the left side of this press room.

Don't Forget About The Canon That Time Forgot!

     Remember that we still have an on-going contest running called The Canon That Time Forgot, which runs from now until December 31, 2017.      However, if the previous delay didn't upset you enough, then we are unfortunate to announce that both of our in-development books named above have also been delayed. This is mainly due to time constraints and creative differences, but we are certain that we will have both books out during Digital Decade! Stay tuned for more updates about these exciting books!
