Wiki Mondays Will be Discontinued on August 31! Another Film Delay As Well!

By: Andrew Bermudez
(Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; August 11, 2017)
If you are a long-time fan of our weekly Wiki Mondays series on our official wiki, we have some sad news for you. This and other news is the subject of today's press release.

Compartmentalized Press Releases
We want our press releases to be as easy to navigate as possible, so starting today, we're sectioning off various parts of each press release with a heading based on that segment's subject. That way, instead of being forced to look at a wall of text, you can look for particular topics that interest you most. Let us know what you think of this change in the comments below.

Wiki Mondays To Be Discontinued
Originally intended as a way to entertain fans during the winter and spring of 2014 while Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients entered the final stages of production, Wiki Mondays eventually became a Mustache Maniacs Film Co. tradition, not only allowing for a rapid expansion of the official canon, but also gave fans an avenue to explore the world of our films, comics, books, and more. We even established a tradition of writing pages for villains around Halloween! However, as we are planning on establishing a new release schedule (to be unveiled later this month), we are sad to inform you that this means that Wiki Mondays will be discontinued on August 31. The last Wiki Mondays page will be on August 28, but we want this to go out with a bang! Because of that, we're releasing TWO pages each Monday! Here are our last planned Wiki Mondays pages:
  • August 14: Tales of the Adventurers & Cromwell Powell
  • August 21: Chief Della Wickfield & Treasures of Amset-Ra
  • August 28: Charge & (the long-overdue page) Mustache Maniacs Film Co.
While we will still be creating new pages for our wiki, it will become far less frequent than Wiki Mondays allowed. More details will be unveiled when we announce our scheduling changes later this month.

Voice Recording Woes & Delaying a Film
In other news, we have yet ANOTHER delay. The Third Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards has been delayed to September 1, 2017. While all of the animation and visuals are done, we are still in need of voice actors! In fact, this need is the only reason that the film is being delayed. If Elizabeth Scarheart, Jack Maroney, and Nathan Mellace are reading this, all of three of you have lines in need of recording, which should be in your e-mail inboxes right now. We will contact all of the other actors shortly to schedule voice recording sessions.
We also plan on reaching out for more voice actors. Currently, we're planning on putting casting calls for this film on both Bricks in Motion and Casting Call Club, but if you have a suggestion for another place to run a casting call, let us know. We need to get these parts filled as soon as possible, as we can't start editing the audio without the voices recorded!

News About "Crazy Compendium" eBook
However, one thing that is just about ready to go is the upcoming ebook Crazy Compendium: Literature & Stories from Andrew Bermudez's Early Life. All of the reprinted stories are already copied into the book, and the new stories are just about done. By the end of this month, we will have an official release date for the ebook ready, which right now is just scheduled for release in Fall 2017.

Lead-Out
We hope you enjoyed this new press release format. If there is anything you like or don't like about this change, let us know in the comments below. We're also abandoning the You May Also Like section, as our consistency on that was spotty at best. We'll see you again when our new content schedule is ready to go!

Comments

  1. Sorry to see that Wiki Mondays is being discontinued. As someone who is constantly struggling to find time to work on the Dino Attack RPG Wiki, I could see that Wiki Mondays gave you motivation to work on your own wiki on a weekly basis.
