A New Collection of Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Literature Coming in 2017!
By: Andrew Bermudez
(Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; November 12, 2016)
In a surprising bit of news, there's a brand-new book coming in 2017, and it's titled Compendium of Craziness: Literature from Mustache Maniacs Film Co.! That is the short version of the news, but now we're going to get to the more specific details of what the book is about.
Once upon a time, from 2003 to 2005, Andrew and Daniel Bermudez wrote a bevy of poems, short stories, odes, and more! Most of it was fiction writings, and while our writing skills have far advanced beyond these stories, we still honor these writings as the springboard which has led to where we are now in terms of both storytelling and language skills. Here's an example of one of the odes written by Andrew Bermudez.
To My Brain
By Andrew Bermudez
Oh brain, you make me
gain weight.
Why am I saying this?
No one knows.
This is just a stupid,
pointless ode.
This, among other writings, will be included in the new book, which is set to debut February next year as part of Year of the Clock (which will now run until December 2017). The book will have several selections from the past, with many of them re-written for modern, and more mature, audiences. These selections will include (but are not limited to):
- The Carter Caper
- The Big Easter Egg Hunt
- Cows Get Revenge
- Mummy's Curse
- Pirate Peril!
- Museum Mystery
However, how they will be re-written could potentially surprise many of you: Many of these stories will officially become canon upon publication! They won't all be declared as such (including the ode featured here), but many of the writings that have entered the official cinematic universe will be marked as such, and to allow this, many of them will have to be drastically revised.
In addition to all of this, all writings will be separated into specific categories for your reading pleasure. For example, all poems will be grouped into one chapter. And, before this announcement concludes, there is one more matter that must be addressed. In this volume, ONLY writings by Andrew Bermudez will be included. For the time being, there is no permission by Daniel Bermudez to have his writings released online, but if this changes, we'll let you know.
