Our New Content Schedule!

By: Andrew Bermudez
It's been busy here at the studio, with some news to share! Let's get started!
First, we would like to announce that we are introducing a brand-new, rigorous release schedule for all of our content. We are not allowed to deviate from it to any degree, as it will give fans the chance to expect certain content on certain days of the week. Here is what we have lined up.
  • Wiki Mondays is returning June 15, 2015, with one new page being added every Monday. Major adjustments to wiki articles, including adding photos and changing descriptions, will also happen on Mondays.
  • Tuesdays starting in August will introduce a brand-new series that will fill up the time between film releases: Between Takes Set Reviews. In this series, Andrew Bermudez will take short breaks from filming to review one LEGO set per week, covering new and old themes.
  • Wednesdays will introduce Photo of the Week on the press room. Starting in July, one new photo will be posted every week from the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. archives. It may be from an upcoming film or an older one! Wednesdays are an open slot for work. Nothing is planned for this day of the week.
  • Thursdays are an open slot for work. Nothing is planned for this day of the week.
  • Fridays are reserved, as always, for new film releases. If a film is being released in parts, each part can only be released on a Friday.
  • Saturdays starting in March 2016 will see the release of episodes of LEGO Island: The Animated Series.
  • Sundays are Overview Day for an upcoming game. More on that later.
Now that you know what we plan on releasing when, you can be sure to expect lots of new content for years to come!

Speaking of new content, we've got a new film in the works with the current working title Our Good Neighbor, scheduled to be released on September 4! It's going to be released as part of bricksinmotion.com's Darkness and Light Contest. The theme, which is dark and light, will allow us to create a far more dramatic and thrilling film than the more whimsical films that we've made. Therefore, expect Our Good Neighbor to have more in common with Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse Fire and New Friends ~ An Environmental Fable. It's not affiliated with Project U, but will still exist in the same universe.
Speaking of Project U, we would like to remind you that our own contest, The Quest for Canonization, is still running and will run through July 31, so get those stories written! If you need a re-fresher on the rules, here is the contest video: CLICK HERE.
In other news, we are working on a brand new game that will be the first of its kind! Titled LEGO Studios: The RPG, the game will be the first-ever collaborative content-creating text-based role-playing game and will be seeking approval from BZPower to host the game in its LEGO RPG forum. It is in the early stages of planning right now, but think of the concept as a role-playing game with mafia-style day/night cycles and crowd-sourced film-making all part of the experience. Every Sunday, just as mentioned before, is Overview Day. This day is when mission status is evaluated, locations are opened or closed, night actions are covered, and more. The best part about this game is that, as time goes on, more content will be added, including missions, locations, and non-playable characters! If all goes according to plan, the game should be ready to go August 2015.
And that's all we have this week. Check back July 10 for Alms Pouch, Holiday 2015 for Alpha Team: Mission Deep Jungle, and 2016 for LEGO Island: The Animated Series! Finally, if you haven't done so yet, SIGN UP FOR AUDITIONS TODAY!!!

6/11/2015 Update: It's only been a few days since this announcement, and we've already cancelled Photo of the Week. Oh, well. It was kind of a lame concept anyway. But, we do have a photo to make up for it. It's the latest Poster Madness poster!
In other news, we've gotten our first entry into The Quest for Canonization. It's titled A Greater Cost and can be watched (or listened to) by clicking here. We've also pitched LEGO Studios: The RPG, but no word has come back. We at the studio will keep you informed.
