As March comes to a close, spring break is here, meaning that it's time to kick back, relax, and read up on what's been going on at the studio.
First off, the first wave of Project U-Build Play Set Adventures are being finalized and will be released around April 7th on the library page of the website. "This opportunity for our fans to recreate memorable scenes from the first two Johnny Thunder films is very exciting for us," said public relations head Sam Sneed. "We look forward to seeing how our fans react to these constructive prospects." These play set adventures are designed to commemorate the 3-D conversion for Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo, which will be taking place between March 30th and April 7th. Part 2's audio issue and closed captioning will also be addressed during this conversion.
In other news, the trailers that were unveiled at The Second Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards are now being uploaded to be viewed on their own. The first trailer for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients has already been uploaded and has already received praise in anticipation for the film's release on July 18th. The teaser for LEGO Island: The Animated Series will be uploaded later this weekend.
Another video that will be uploaded this weekend is an update to the Nexus Force Character Creation Sweepstakes rules. "After looking at the rules for this contest," said LEGO Studios CEO Mark Matthew, "we discovered many flaws. However, because no entries have been submitted yet, we will be able to mend these rules without ramification." This update will be uploaded this weekend, along with details explaining more about Project U.
Finally, the much-delayed return of Tales of the Adventurers will be happening mid-April. Even though this will still be the comic series' last year, the comic series will now end late August to make up for this delay. For other final tidbits, Indiana Jones and the Heart of the Dragon will be converted to 3-D this weekend and the next Ask Mark Matthew will be released April 1st.
