Studio Update: A Cancellation and Possible Delays

As "Ten Years of Going Crazy!" makes its start, there is some unfortunate news to announce. "As we were reality-checking our schedule for this year," said Mark Matthew, LEGO Studios CEO, "we realized that there were some projects that would have to be abandoned in order for the remaining projects to be presented at their highest quality." As such, some adjustments had to be made.
We have already announced that Zoo Flight has been cancelled. Joining it today is Com 50 Covert Operations: The Interactive Mission, a game scheduled for release in November. "We realize that we can't do it all," said head of Drawn to Life Animation Steve Brocko. "Because of this, we realized that, between the CGI needed for both Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen and Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients, we don't have the manpower to also undertake this game. There has been talk of concluding the legacy of Com 50 in preparation for our next big project, making this game the first to go."
However, this leaves November without any new Mustache Maniacs Film Co. films...unless Speeder gets delayed. "We have the green light to make Speeder, meaning that it's going to happen," added Steve Brocko. "However, if filming falls further behind schedule for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients, Speeder will have to be delayed into November. Again, this decision is all about quality control." As of now, though, Speeder is still slated for a March 14 release.
Another possible delay, though, isn't so far ahead. There is talk of pushing both The Second Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards and The Nexus Force Character Creation Sweepstakes off by one week into January 31 and February 2, respectively. "Again," added Steve, "it's all about quality control. We know that simply hearing who won each award can get dull, so we need to make sure that all of the humor, the song, the sneak peeks, and tributes look great and are fun to watch." However, for the time being, these two projects are still slated for their current release dates.
Despite these announcements, we hope you enjoy all that we have to offer during "Ten Years of Going Crazy!," including Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients, coming July 18!
January 17th Update: It's official: The Second Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards and The Nexus Force Character Creation Sweepstakes have been delayed to the new days listed above. However, to make up for all of this bad news and some issues we're having with the first two Johnny Thunder films, we're going to start a poll to last from now until the end of February to see what you think about a new idea. As always, the poll is on the right side of this page.
January 19th Update: It has been decided that Speeder will officially be delayed to November 28th in order to allow Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients to be completed.
