A Peek at Our Development Department

Today, instead of a usual news update, we'll give you a peek at our development department and show you a little about what we are planning for 2012 - 2014. Be cautious, though, and remember what today is. Three of these projects are mere pranks! Be sure to write in the comments which three project you think are April Fool's jokes. With that aside, let's begin.
It's already 2012, but we still have a lot planned for later this year. Currently, we already have all of this year's From the Vaults re-releases announced on their respective page on the website. The reason why we only have one re-release in the Fall is because we're gearing up for new films to be released. The previously-announced CGI animation has been slated to be released at this time, along with more traditional animation and a THAC 10 entry. Also in the works is a revival of a long-canceled Freddy and Joey episode, now marginally renamed Freddy and Joey in the Duck and the Strawberries. Just like its predecessor, this short will also be an animatic, telling the story of David the Duck and his quest to claim Farmer John's strawberries. We'll also be gathering the results from our on-going poll this Fall as well. As always, we'll also be filming Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients.
From the looks of things, 2013 is going to be a pretty quiet year, besides some school projects and a few more From the Vaults re-releases. This is mainly because we'll be gearing up for a busy 10th anniversary celebration in 2014. However, there are a few ideas being tossed around to fill in this quiet space. Depending on the reception of the Vacation: Unlimited contest, we're considering another contest, but with a new spin to it. The current idea calls for something called "The Film School Challenge," where participants will be challenged to create or animate something. Through trial and elimination, only one challenger will be left standing in the end. No prize has been confirmed, but I have it on good word that the prize may be a part in one of our future films.
However, we'll be busy during this time as well, since we'll not only be filming Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients, but we have another film lined up as well, called Blaze in the Woods, which will be based around the LEGO City Forest Fire sets. The details are currently secret, but it is expected to be our major release in 2013.
2014 will be our busiest year yet, since it is the 10th anniversary of Mustache Maniacs Film Co. We really want to make this year count, mainly to make up for a rather lacking 5th anniversary in 2009. We have decided to go as far as releasing one major movie a month, including the possibility of 3-D director's cuts for the first two Johnny Thunder films. If this works, then Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients, also coming in 2014, will be released in 3-D.
We're also working on The Second Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards. It'll be just like the first awards ceremony, only this time, there will be more party decor and one wild and crazy birthday song! Also, just like the first awards ceremony, the fans will vote the Fall before it is released, which may be January 2014.
We'll also see the From the Vaults release timetable end in 2014 with a bang! Some other big news, however, is another film considered for that Spring, which is a re-imagining of The Adventures of Legoman. This time, it'll be much darker and more intense, with many of the cartoon-y being thrown out the window. Finally, when 2014 rolls around, we'll announce our next franchise, which is in development. The first installment will come out in 2015.
Well, that's all I'm allowed to say at the moment. Also, do keep in mind that most of these projects are in development and have not yet been announced, so don't be surprised if one or more of the above projects falls through. Only when officially announced will a project actually be completed. But, once again, look for the three April Fool's jokes and guess which three are not even in development in the comments. We'll announce which three are just jokes in the next Ask Mark Matthew.
