Actor Trampled during 'Johnny Thunder 3' Filming, Other Studio News

Yesterday, during the filming for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients, one of the extras on hire was trampled by a bull. Though he did survive, he had to be rushed to the hospital for severe cuts, flesh wounds in the back, and two broken ribs. Originally, director Steven Lawrence wanted to re-shoot the scene, but assistant director Barry Hollows (he agreed to be assistant director after Simon Johnathon was demoted for "creating too many failed movies") said that there was no need to, since dozens of participants in the actual Running of the Bulls (or Mozos) get injured every year.
The trampling in the center of this screenshot wasn't scripted.
The blame for the bull being overactive, and thus trample the extra, went to production assistant Samuel Gordon, who was seen messing around with an electric cattle prod near the trained bulls. When asked to comment about the accident, assistant director Barry Hollows said, "I just want to assure everyone that we aim to maintain a safe work environment, both for those working on the film and those that are acting in it. This incident was entirely uncalled for, but we have aimed to keep the workplace safe. Now I am confident of two things. One, our work place is safer than ever before, and two, we now have one less production assistant."
At a press conference to report the incident, many of the reporters were asking what bulls and Pamplona have to do with Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients. Lego Studios CEO Mark Matthew said, "Near the beginning of the film, Johnny Thunder and his family go on vacation to Pamplona, where they take part in the Running of the Bulls. There are some other things that happen there too, but we are trying to keep the film as secret as possible. So please don't ask any more questions."
On another, unrelated, note, Mustache Maniacs Film Co. is currently pondering the idea of a joint brickfilming/building contest (the theme, if the contest happens, is currently decided, but confidential). However, before any more development is done, Mustache Maniacs Film Co. CEO Andrew Bermudez would like to ask the fans if they would want to enter a contest hosted by Mustache Maniacs Film Co. If you want to vote in this two-week poll, please check the right sidebar on this page for your place to vote. If a majority vote wants it, then the contest will be officially announced on February 5th.
Finally, another issue has come up with the animating for Gone Ice Fishin'. The light desks are working again, but the needed paper has run terribly short. "I don't know what it is," said Steve Brocko, head of the traditional animation department. "In the past, with films like Space Attack and An Afternoon at the Zoo, we were always getting things done on or ahead of time. This project, on the other hand, is already over one month behind schedule, and we're constantly having problems. I am still confident that the finished product will look wonderful." Gone Ice Fishin' is now expected to have a mid-to-late February release.
As for other projects, From the Vaults: Plankton Strikes Back! will be re-released this Friday, additional From the Vaults re-releases, including Plankton: Burner of Books will be re-released starting February 1st, 2012 and continue through the end of 2014 (for the tenth anniversary of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.), and Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients will be discovered Summer 2014.

  1. My answer isn't on the poll so I'll write this out for you.

I'll only enter if one of the prizes is based off of story line or script as that's my strong area. I'd just look like a fool if I entered a contest that was based on the quality of animation.

Also I'm uncomfortable with receiving physical prizes that require me giving out my address.

so basically it depends on the contest. :P

Sorry but you didn't have an "it depends" button on your poll.
