All New Ask Mark Matthew!

Today, we bring you another 'Ask Mark Matthew,'
containing 100% new material! Let's get started!
Movieguider73 writes: Will the army and Dan Brown be back for the third Johnny Thunder?
Mark: They will be back for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients, but they will only have cameo roles. In other words, they will have short scenes in the movie that will allow the film to tie better to the first two films. However, their cameo scenes have been written so that their short appearances are vital to the script, rather than thrown in for extra flavor. They are, however, not the only characters making cameos. The other cameo-making characters are:
- Block Sauniere (In a flashback)
- Jerry Digalot
- Hiram Aziz
- Babloo
- Jing Lee
There may be some other characters making cameos, but I won't reveal who those are, because it may, in a sense, spoil parts of the movie. Until then, be sure to keep updated on the Johnny Thunder storyline with the Tales of the Adventurers comics!
TLFScarheart writes: Why did this [Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile Part 7] get uploaded again?...or am I just going insane?
Mark: About a couple months ago, there were issues about the availability of the video, since it got blocked due to copyright. The fans complained, so matters were taken to remove the content responsible for the problem, then re-upload part 7. However, we want to avoid this from happening again, so all of our films released from now on (except for the From the Vaults re-releases) will use 100% original music.
mhutchinson007 writes: One thing I don't get, how are the Egyptian conspirators [in Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile] at 1:51 to 2:46 supposed to kill the pharaoh with scrolls and wax? Still great prologue.
Mark: This prologue, except for the Heart of Osiris, is actually based on a true story, so the conspirators actually tried to use scrolls and wax to kill Ramses III. They did this because, back in Ancient Egypt, they believed that certain objects, like the scrolls and figures made of wax, had certain mystical powers. Therefore, they believed that, by harnessing this power, they could kill the pharaoh. But, as you find out in the prologue, they didn't get away with it! For further reading on this and other subjects about Ancient Egypt, I highly recommend The Mammoth Book of Eyewitness: Ancient Egypt, which was used to help write the sequence in question.
That's it for today's edition of Ask Mark Matthew. Don't forget that if you have
a question, be sure to send it as a private message to YouTube user
historylegoman. Until then, we'll be making movies!
