November has just arrived, little kids are enjoying their Halloween candy, Festival of Souls 2 is now over, and it's time for another Studio Update! Let's get started!
It has been confirmed that filming for Johnny Thunder and the Wisdom of the Ancients will begin on November 3rd! The cast and crew are currently setting up in Egypt to film the movie's prologue. "Even though the film does not take place in Egypt, this shot will certainly help set the mood for the film," said director Steven Lawrence. "Actually, the prologue for this film is like the prologues for the first two Johnny Thunder films combined. It starts with an ancient tale and concludes with a murder." The prologue is set to finish filming by the end of the year.
Also, the release dates for the next Tales of the Adventurers and Gone Ice Fishin' have been set back. The next Tales of the Adventurers is set to debut this weekend and Gone Ice Fishin' has been pushed back possibly to December 9th.
But the big news was the studio's big Halloween party. Not a lot of special things were done during the party (it was conducted during a normal class period), but it proved to be super popular. Work was done on Gone Ice Fishin' at this time, but the main event was the screening of Forest of Fear. Besides the usual students and teacher for the class, the film's star, Raul Flores, was also in attendance. Some of the guests even came in costume.
From left to right: Maggie Behrens as Flounder from The Little Mermaid, Andrew Bermudez as Basil from Mystery at Shady Acres, Nathan Crookston as Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games, Bryce Bolick as a werewolf, Nick Bub as Count Dracula, and Hannah Ganter as Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
After the film's screening, Andrew Bermudez not only reminded the guests to visit the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. website, but also hinted at a game coming soon to the site. It was described as being, "made around a song stuck in my head and a traditional animation from earlier this year. Dang it. Now that song is stuck in my head again."
Finally, the website is almost done with its expansion! However, the next Ask Mark Matthew has been pushed off towards the middle of the month so people have more time to ask questions. If you have any questions, send them to our YouTube account and they could be answered in the next Ask Mark Matthew!
