'Tales of the Adventurers' Goes in a New Direction

Now that John "Six Shots" Parker has rescued Lord Sinister and Patrick, this comic focuses on the characters from Wonders of Buoyancy as they encounter a surprise...      The next comic will come two weeks from now and will be made in the Christmas spirit. Also, the entry for Bricksinmotion.com's 24 hour animation contest will be written, filmed, edited, and released December 18th, 2010, The First Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards will debut January 21st, 2011, Forest of Fear is scheduled for release in June 2011, and Johnny Thunder 3 may come out Summer 2012.

Wonders of Buoyancy is Now Afloat!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; November 26, 2010)      Today, Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s fifth online film, Wonders of Buoyancy , was released. This film is also the first from the company to mix live action with stop motion animation. Next week's Tales of the Adventurers comic will pick up after Lance's last line in the film and will be released this upcoming Sunday.      Also, about the strip, the schedule has now been changed so that it will remain bi-weekly in 2011. This is to ensure that there is enough time to complete each script since plenty of filming for both Forest of Fear and Johnny Thunder 3 will be done at the same time.      Finally, One more short film will be released by the end of the year. It will be made entirely in 24 hours and will be submitted as a contest entry on Bricksinmotion.com. It will be released December 18th, 2010.

More Tales of the Adventurers and 'Red Jungle' News

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios and Crazyhouse Comics Studio; November 15, 2010)      Now it is time for another Tales of the Adventurers , which wraps up Lord Sinister's adventure in the desert and reveals the new mystery character.      The next comic will start a new storyline, picking up where the upcoming film Wonders of Buoyancy leaves off. The film will be released November 26th, 2010.      Also, news has come in that Red Jungle has been cancelled for the time being. Until the project is restarted, work will continue on other films in development.

New Tales of the Adventurers!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; November 3, 2010)      After an anonymous animator proposed, with the studio's permission, to animate the first Tales of the Adventurers comic strip, the studio figured the comic strip is doing well enough to continue it. Therefore, here is the next comic. It picks up where the last one left off.      Can you guess who is on the camel? Write your response in the comments and check out the next strip in two weeks to see if you were right. (HINT: This character is new to the franchise, but is related to a character who was already in the series.)      Also, some of the studio executives will be visiting the Multimedia Productions Backlot for discussions about the future of the action film Red Jungle . Studio Update: Happy Halloween!

Since Forest of Fear will not be released until June 2011, we will cover other news instead.      The filming for Wonders of Buoyancy wrapped up back on Monday. Editing will begin shortly, and the film will be released November 26th, 2010. While you wait, here is a screenshot from that very film.      Also, a director for Forest of Fear has been found. Now the film will be directed by newcomer Seth Masterson. Filming will begin December 2010 and may possibly be finished February 2011.      In other news, the next Tales of the Adventurers comic will go online in the first week of November. However, there is no news on how well the first strip is being received. First "Tales of the Adventurers" Comic!

Originally based around the popular henchman character Patrick, the comic evolved into a broader spectrum, so that all of the adventurers characters would be included. Here is the result: the first-ever edition of the comic strip Tales of the Adventurers . Enjoy! Studio Updates: Two New Short Films Coming Soon and More.

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; September 27, 2010)      Halloween is just a month away, and with that, comes another studio update. To start, two new films have been announced. The first will be a mini commercial for the fan choice awards. "We are very surprised how few people are voting for the awards. Therefore, we decided that a commercial to encourage people to vote is important," said Mark Matthew, head of the Lego Studios Board of Directors and Lego Studios CEO. Also, an educational science film will be made. The film, primarily an assignment for school, will use storytelling and humor to teach an undecided aspect of physical science. Both will be released by the end of the year.      In the meantime, the 8th draft of Forest of Fear was sent off to hopeful director Barry Hollows for final approval.
