Shred the gnar, yo! Rap-Trick is back, and now he has a righteous EDM remix! This and more news in today's update, yo!

Rap-Trick Remix Has Been Released, Yo!

Grab your boards and shred some G's, bro! Rap-Trick Remix has been released for some serious hip jives! This righteous film takes the original Rap-Trick and reimagines it as an EDM beat! Mixed in is the hippest version of "Partick, shut up!" you'll ever hear, and the beats can't be beat, yo! The full film has been embedded above so that you can easily take in the full hipness! But that's not all that we have to unveil today!

Announcing a New Experimental Version of Chateau La Roach, Coming in 2028!

Unlike when Rap-Trick was released, we're not using Rap-Trick Remix to signal a shift towards hipness for all of our future projects. On the contrary, we're always looking for new and unconventional stories to tell, and we have one project that might be our most unconventional of all!

You might know that, back at the end of 2006, one of the possible plays that was reviewed for the Cornerstone Thespian Society to perform was a slapstick comedy named Chateau La Roach (click here to read the entire history of that ordeal). While that play was ultimately passed over in favor of Mystery at Shady Acres, we are proud to announce that, just as we have re-entered the live action scene, we're re-entering the play production scene with Chateau La Roach! However, in this play production, all of the humans will be played by cockroaches, and all of the cockroaches will be played by humans. The new article on our wiki about this production was just the first step in this project, which should be hitting the stage in the summer of 2028.

Now, how are we going to pull this off, you might ask, since cockroaches are so much smaller than humans? Simple: an innovative new wearable device called SMAPRA GLASSES™! They look like traditional opera glasses but have smart "forced perspective" technology built into them so that all of the characters will look the correct size! This production is just the testing ground for SMAPRA GLASSES™, which we plan on licensing out to other venues and selling them to individuals. While the patent is pending, here are some of the potential uses for SMAPRA GLASSES™:

  • Sharpening blurry and out-of-focus areas of a theater stage.
  • "Seeing" the music being performed, as well as receiving real-time closed captions.
  • Getting that one perfect forced perspective photo of you "leaning" on the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
  • Being really petty and shrinking down the size of your ex within your field of view.
  • Covering up any stagehands that are non-diegetic to the scene.
  • And more!

Again, this production will be hitting stages in the summer of 2028. And as for why we don't have a job posting for senior professional cockroach trainer just yet. Well, that's all because this was...

April Fools! Now for Some Real News!

Ha! We got you! Rap-Trick Remix was just an intentionally bad remix of the prior film with minimal effort put in, we have no plans currently to produce Chateau La Roach in any capacity (live roaches or not), and SMAPRA GLASSES™ are not real. Or at least, not real in this application, since all we described was just dressed up AR technology. Training cockroaches, however, actually is an emerging topic that uses their olfactory sensors to teach them behaviors. Who knew!?!

In other news, due to ongoing health problems at the studio, The Fourth Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards is still slogging through post-production. The goal is to get the film ready for May, but we cannot commit to that timeframe currently. However, now that the seasonal flu is no longer afflicting the studio's staff, the goal is to get all of the dialogue recorded this month, or rather the dialogue that still needs to be recorded. Over the next few weeks, the ceremony will be heavily edited, with final tweaks being given to the music video, which is currently almost done. We will keep you posted.
