We've Got the Full Scoop on "Digital Decade!"

     As you may be aware by now, "Digital Decade" starts next month, to mark the new year! And, thanks to your input, we now know what we are going to be featuring when! Now, in chronological order, is everything that we plan on doing for this celebration!

Updated Tech Logo

     Feel the tech flow as our logo is getting a special technological makeover just for "Digital Decade!" Every production released from January 1, 2018 through September 1, 2019 will feature this version of our logo.

THAC XV Entry

     We have very few details on what this would entail, or if we'll be able to even tackle an entry this time around, but we want to use this time to introduce a new, upcoming character. But what will be the contest and release date? Bricks in Motion states that the contest will run on January 6, 2018, with an entry release on January 7. But with our busy schedule, we'll have to inform you on whether we'll be able to produce a film for the contest or not.

When Barrels Fly: Special Edition

     We are hard at work preparing When Barrels Fly, our first-ever THAC entry, for its re-release on January 26, as we've just finished animating one of the two new shots. We're still looking to fill the roles of three of the characters, as half of this film's cast is planned on being recast, so check out the auditions page of our website to find out more.

Dramatic Readings of Unused Scripts

     Throughout the winter and spring, we'll be reading select scripts for movies that were never made that we still have in our archives. Once the summer hits, we'll be covering unused scripts less frequently, but we'll still cover some through September 2019. The unused scripts that we'll be reciting, in order of release, are:

• March 2018 - Cedric's Siege (Developed 2009-2013)
• April 2018 - Our Good Neighbor (Developed 2015)

Keep in mind that while this does mean that you will finally get a picture of what these films would have entailed, this does NOT mean two things. 1: We will NOT be canonizing any of these unreleased films, as that would stand in direct violation of our canonization policy. 2: We will NOT actually be making the films. These are simply dramatic readings for your listening pleasure.

Crazy Compendium: The Writings of Andrew Bermudez
     After experiencing some minor delays, this collection of poems, short stories, and more is coming February 9, 2018! This book will not only include several silly stories (both canon and non-canon), but will also include retrospectives by Andrew Bermudez, as well as appropriate years of writings, as the compendium is meant to be a historical collection and retrospective of writings from 2001-2007. Upon its release, the book will available to download from the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. website as a PDF.

The Adventures of Legoman: Special Edition

     The updates to the character of Legoman that were made for A Friend of the Police are finally finding their way to the character's original incarnation! When the film returns on April 27, 2018, say hello to all of our new voice actors, who are returning from A Friend of the Police, as well as an enhanced street chase finale, a more pulsating opening sequence, and so much more! It's sure to be a resoundingly repeatable and rewarding revival and renewal!

Interviews with Past Actors

     Throughout the run of "Digital Decade," we'll be interviewing actors that have appeared in several of our productions. We'll start interviewing past actors in May 2018, with our interview line-up still in development. We'll let you know when we have our line-up ready to go.

Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra

     We've talked about this film extensively, but our upcoming historical fiction film Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra is coming May 25, 2018, just in time for Memorial Day! Project U continues with another flashback! Turn the clock back to 1924, when World War I veterans Jake Raines and Mac McCloud have become world-renowned treasure hunters! But, when they meet Professor Archibald Hale, their world is about to turn upside-down! He has discovered an ancient prophecy that foretells the return of the tyrant pharaoh Amset-Ra and the six treasures that hold the power to stop him. Now, along with rival-turned-ally Helena Skvalling, the four adventurers must comb the desert for the treasures and stop Amset-Ra before it's too late! Will our heroes be able to stop the un-dead hordes in time? What secret does the cursed pharaoh hold?

Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile: Special Edition

     This beloved sequel to Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo is getting its own special makeover, to debut July 20, 2018. We're going in with respect both to the original cut and to Egyptian culture, and the changes will reflect these concerns, as well as visual enhancements. We're hoping you're excited for the changes in store, which include a brand-new scene with Patrick and Horatio Schmidt, a re-imagined zeppelin sequence, corrections in continuity, creating an original score, adding connections to the canonized story A Greater Cost, and so much more! Get ready to rediscover this adventure all over again!

Studio Tour
In August 2018, we're opening the doors to our studio for the first time ever with this tour of our studio! This multi-part mini series will cover not only how we set up for filming, but also our workflow, how we visualize the films long before the camera starts rolling, and so much more!

Wonders of Buoyancy: Special Edition

     This tour de force of the physics of buoyancy is receiving its own re-imagining, which will rise to the occasion starting on September 21, 2018! Just in time for mid-terms, learn all about buoyancy again, now with new water effects, new pirate action effects and voice acting, stronger connections to the Tales of the Adventurers comics series, a newly-recast voice actor for Prof. Samantha Rhodes, and so much more! You are sure to get an A on your physics test during the Fall 2018 semester. Unfortunately, this film won't help you on your history exam.

Mary Rawlins' Travel Guide: Cities That You Must Absolutely, Positively, Stay Out of to Avoid Getting Eaten Alive
     Remember how in Attack of the Fifty-Foot Hamster, it's mentioned that since the events of Forest of Fear, Mary Rawlins has written a book all about the town of Howling Hollow and why no one should visit it? Well, starting on October 12, 2018, you'll be able to read the book for yourself and learn all about Howling Hollow, Arthur Van Helbrick, Count Werdna, Billy Lugosi, and the rest of the town's ghoulish gang! It'll even feature some surprises not seen in the movie!

How To Draw Series for Art Demonstration Show
     During the Fall of 2018 and through early Spring 2019, Art Demonstration Show will temporarily become a series to showcase how to draw your own renditions of select Mustache Maniacs Film Co. characters. More details will surface as the time comes.

A Very Patrick Christmas: Special Edition

     Ho, ho, ho! A Very Patrick Christmas is going to get a merry makeover in time for the holidays on December 14, 2018! Patrick's visit to his parent's home for the holidays is going to look merry and bright for its return, which will feature stronger connections to the official canon (including the comics series Journey to Siberia), an all-new Winter Village montage sequence, all-new holiday humor, brand-new effects, and other changes that will make you jolly like old St. Nick!

THAC XVI Entry
     We know that this contest will be held late December 2018/early January 2019, but that's it. More information will be unveiled as the contest time approaches.

15th Anniversary Surprise!
     On April 18, 2019, we're going to be celebrating our 15th anniversary in a big way! We don't want to say what we're planning, but we're all sure that you're going to like it! Needless to say, the last 5 months of "Digital Decade" will be spent also celebrating our 15th anniversary.

A Future in the Past

     Coming in 2019 is the sixth film in Project U, A Future in the Past! The Time Cruisers team up with Civil War veteran Ulysses S. Powell to see what really happened to Dr. Bradford Rant back in 1985 with their Hypno Cruiser time machine. Instead, they wind up in the year 5481, where humanity, leaving a desolate surface of Earth behind, has moved directly beneath the Hall of Extinction to an underground city. But when Professor Millennium and Tony Twister steal the time machine, it becomes an all-out chase across history! Prepare for the chase of all lifetimes, as our time travelers come face-to-face with some of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s most iconic characters! An official release date will be announced winter 2019.

Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo: Special Edition

     While many of our early online films are simply being re-edited, Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo is being remade from the ground up! That's right! While we were reluctant to remake this film in the past, we are going to do it now, and it's going to be great! This remake will closely follow the original story, but with respect to the cultures of Italy, India, Nepal, and China. However, the entire film is being re-shot at the standard 15 fps (the original film was shot at 10 fps) to make it look as great as possible! Also expect tons of other changes a remake allows, including redesigned characters, realized concepts never seen in the original film, redesigned sets, brand-new effects, original music, all-new casting for select characters, removal of superfluous extras, connections to Journey to Siberia comics, re-imagined action sequences, and so much more! This, of course, will all be done to keep the film in-universe. An official release date will be announced spring 2019.
