Our Brand-New Content Schedule!

By: Andrew Bermudez
(Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Headquarters; August 13, 2017)
After a few days of planning, we have drawn up a new schedule that will not only ensure that we are still able to make content, but also to fit into our quickly-changing lifestyle! Let's get started!

Scaling Back Shows
The first change is going to be reworking the release schedule for Backstage Showcase. While Studio News has a monthly release schedule and Art Demonstration Show episodes are released whenever the potential for a new episode arises, Backstage Showcase is released bi-weekly. That doesn't seem that taxing in creating new episodes, but with all of our on-going projects, that can really strain our schedule. Therefore, we would like to announce that, starting September 1, Backstage Showcase will change to a monthly release schedule.
However, as this change hasn't gone into effect yet, the next episode of Backstage Showcase will be released this Saturday, and it will cover the Windsor Hotel from Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile. However, this schedule change will not change the fact that Backstage Showcase episodes will be released on Saturdays. The change does mean that we will not be bound to any particular Saturday in that month's time.

Mapping Out Our New Schedule
When we were drafting out our new schedule change, we wanted to focus on not only giving ourselves more time to work on projects, but also to establish more consistency. While we do now have two monthly shows, we do want to establish what to expect when. Without further ado, here's our new content schedule, effective September 1.
  • Sunday - New episode of Studio News or Art Demonstration Show (one per month)
  • Monday - Work Day
  • Tuesday - Work Day
  • Wednesday - Work Day
  • Thursday - Work Day
  • Friday - New Film Release or Behind the Scenes Video (as scheduled)
  • Saturday - New episode of Backstage Showcase (one per month)
As you can see, we've sectioned off Monday through Thursday purely for work. That way, we can consistently bring new content to you, as well as fit this into our increasingly busy lives.

Remaining Release Dates for 2017
If you haven't read our last press release, The Third Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Fan Choice Awards has been delayed to September 1, due to voice actors and recording lines. However, Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra is still scheduled to be released on December 22, 2017, with a trailer for that film being released on October 31, 2017. However, we have a few exciting announcements to make!
First, this second trailer for Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra will be featured in TTV's Chronicler's Convergence 2017! No formal announcements have been made about this year's event, but with our inclusion last year, we are absolutely certain that we want the second trailer in this year's event. We will reveal more details as they emerge.
Second, the ebook Crazy Compendium now has a release date! With writing nearing completion and editing starting shortly after, we are certain that the ebook will be released on November 18, 2017! The book will not only contain old stories by Andrew Bermudez from his youth, but will also feature brand-new stories that are considered canon in the official cinematic universe.
Finally, the long-overdue behind the scenes video Attack of the Fifty-Foot Hamster Behind the Scenes will be released on August 25, 2017! This video is mostly going to be the film's production gallery, but will also include never-before-seen deleted animation and art as well as a guide to references and connections to other films!

A New Prof. Archibald Hale!
Recently, we announced quietly that Daniel Bermudez, the actor that gives our Johnny Thunder life, was leaving the part of Prof. Archibald Hale, as he felt that he wasn't a good fit for the role. As a result, we scrambled to get a replacement. Well, we now have that replacement!
William Osborne is a noted voice actor in the brickfilming community, playing characters such as Agent Rogers for App Man Episode 4 and Mr. Taedus for The Third Arrival. Today, we are pleased to announce that we have brought him on board to play the role of Prof. Archibald Hale for Pharaoh's Quest: The Curse of Amset-Ra! We are highly honored to have this skilled actor partake in the development of this film, and we look forward to working with him again in the future.

Wrap-Up
And that's it for today. Are you excited about our new schedule? Are you disappointed that Backstage Showcase episodes will be less frequent, or are you applauding our decision to focus more on developing our films? Let us know in the comments below.
