Vacation Update: To and From Walt Disney World

Image
By: Andrew Bermudez (Valdosta, GA; June 26, 2009)      Despite recent events, such as the death of Micheal Jackson, the vacation has been continuing smoothly, even though studio executive Andrew Bermudez failed to send out a press release last Sunday. During the last week, the studio executives went to several places including Walt Disney World, New Orleans, Houston Space Center, and more.      Day 6: After a night of sleeping in a converted lawnmower shed, we headed off to Houston where we almost got lost in the city's freeway system. After some twist and turns, we arrived at Lakewood Church, where Joel Osteen's sermons take place. This was very special to us because we watch his sermons on TV. Afterwards, we visited the Houston Space Center. Despite the entrance area, which resembled a space-themed Chuck E Cheese, the museum area was very well thought out, with an extra touch provided by an audio tour. Afterwards, we headed across the fre...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Columbus, Texas KOA; June 16, 2009)      It has been five days since the studio executives Daniel and Andrew Bermudez left on their six-week long vacation with their mom. Even though problems have been encountered, since both Andrew and his mom got sick, the vacation is continuing well. Here is a quick overview of the first five days.      Day 1: Driving, driving, driving. Nothing exciting happened today, other than passing over into Arizona and spotting a street named Sore Finger Road (who comes up with these names?).      Day 2: We continued on our way through New Mexico and into Texas. We then drove and drove to Van Horn to spend the night.      Day 3: Yet another driving day, we drove to Kerrville, Texas. Daniel spotted a dead mountain lion. For dinner, we ate at a local Quizno's.      Day 4: Today we went to Fredericksburg, Texas and i...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Andrew and Daniel's House; June 12, 2009)      Today is a big day for Mustache Maniacs Film Co., and it's not about the switch to digital TV. The executives of Mustache Maniacs Film Co., Daniel and Andrew Bermudez, are going on a 6-week vacation! "It's going to be a lot of fun!" said Andrew.      Even though no work will be done on Black Friday and Johnny Thunder and the Gift of the Nile during this time, the executives will still keep in touch via press releases and photos about the sites they visited. Some of these sites will include New Orleans, Walt Disney World, Atlanta, Washington D.C. and St. Louis. "I have confidence that the trip will be a big sucess and also give us time to step back and contemplate the future of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.," said Daniel.      Once the executives get back on July 26th, finalization of the script and filming for Black Friday will begin. By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; June 7, 2009)      In August 2008, the world fell in love with Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo , and new fans of the movie have discovered it since. With a very busy weekend fast approaching, the studio has now released The Adventures of Legoman Production Gallery and Studio Tour . In this film, audiences will learn about some facts about the filming of The Adventures of Legoman , as well as hear a few stories from the set. Also, the film includes a complete tour of Lego Studios, where some scenes for the movie, such as the Legocave and the street chase, were filmed. "Since the first one was such a hit, we expect this one to reap great success as well." Director Simon Johnathon added, "We hope that this film will get more people to watch The Adventures of L...

Filming for Johnny Thunder 2 Teaser is now Finished!

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; May 15, 2009)      As pre-production begins for some of the other planned shorts, including Black Friday , the crew went out into a far recess of the Lego Studios backlot to film the Johnny Thunder 2 teaser. "We had to film as far away from the studio's front lot as possible," said gaffer Sam Reynolds. "Otherwise, the tabloids would let everyone know where the film will take place. This is a detail that we have to keep secret until the teaser comes out in early June, and the same goes for the title."      However, Steven Lawrence, director of the first Johnny Thunder film, said that the footage in the teaser will not appear in the final film. When reporters at the Lego Times (formerly called the Brick Street Journal) asked why he was doing this, Steven replied, "I wanted this footage to give the audience a general idea of what to expect in the film. I don't expect to start filming until this August, since ce...

Also, the Johnny Thunder 2 teaser, which is the first of these films, will be filmed next week. "Although the footage for the teaser will not appear in the finished film, it will certainly help us work with the mood we want to evoke," said director Steven Lawrence. "It will also give the audience a general idea of what the film will be like." It is scheduled to be released late May/early June 2009.      Also, it is planned that the scripts for the other films, including Black Friday , will be written during this time. "We hope that these scripts require techniques that we haven't used before, so that we can practice some of the techniques that are needed for Johnny Thunder 2, " said Simon Johnathon, director of The Adventures of Legoman . The scripts are expected to be completed...
