By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; February 28, 2009)      As people go to the Legotown Cinema to watch their favorite films, they may notice that a new trailer has shown up. That new trailer is for the studio's latest project, The Adventures of Legoman . "The movie looks great," said a resident who had just seen the trailer. "It's nice to see a director break out of the mold of the typical dark and mysterious superhero film that we've seen lately."      The trailer features several scenes from the film, including a woman smacking Captain Bill, the film's fist fight, and even some clips from the street pursuit. "We are hoping that this trailer will get people excited about the finished film," stated Simon Johnathon, the film's director. "The 1960's Batman TV show has become popular in recent years through its frequent reruns, and the similarities between it and The Adventures of Legoman will certainly make the film a w...

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; February 11, 2009)      Recently, the public asked the head of Lego Studios, Mark Matthew, about the hidden extras in Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo and where to find them. So, director Steven Lawrence compiled this list yesterday, telling the location of every hidden character, stagehand, and gold brick in the film: Gold Bricks: Gold Brick 1: This hidden extra is actually a piece of the chair that Mong Hu sits on inside General Mao's headquarters. It's a little hard to see, but it's there. Gold Brick 2: Inside the Coughing Dragon Opera House, a gold brick is part of the post that supports the balcony that Johnny and his friends sit at. Stagehands: First Unit Cameraman : This one is very hard to see. When we see Xi'an for the first time (near the beginning of the film), some guards execute two civilians . On the other side of the shooting, you can see the 1st unit cameraman taping the action. Wind...

Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Dissolves Brick Tales

By: Andrew Bermudez (Mustache Maniacs Headquarters; February 9, 2009)      Today, the company, Brick Tales, a sub-division of Mustache Maniacs Film Co. that finances the company's brickfilms , was officially dissolved. Now all brickfilms made by the company will be under the control of Mustache Maniacs Film Co. "It was just shocking to hear. I didn't even know Brick Tales existed," said Simon Johnathan, director of The Adventures of Legoman .      There has been much skepticism as to why Brick Tales was dissolved. At a press conference, Steven Lawrence, Director of Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo , stated, "Mustache Maniacs Film Co. has been hit hard by the economic turmoil, and it only seems wise for the company to get rid of unnecessary expenses, and Brick Tales was the first to go. If the economy gets worse, who knows what'll happen to Mustache Maniacs Film Co. and its other sub-divisions."      Regar...

A Ghost is Coming this Halloween.

By: Andrew Bermudez (Lego Studios; February 3, 2009)      With the light-hearted, family film, The Adventures of Legoman , well underway, the studio has decided to make something a little spookier, a short film called Ghost Pictures . "Our popularity has certainly blossomed with the release of Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo , which will certainly develop with The Adventures of Legoman . It only seems natural to do something different to attract an even wider audience," said Mark Matthew, head of the board of directors.      Based on a dream that one of the heads of the studio had, Ghost Pictures will concern a family who is called by their relatives. The relatives ask to move in with the family, arguing that a ghost is haunting their house. The only evidence that they have of the ghost is an envelope full of photos. Is this spector real, or is it a hoax?      Although it will be a little spooky, the film ...

By: Andrew Bermudez (City Street; January 3, 2009)      Although it was delayed for almost half a month, the filming for The Adventures of Legoman is running smoothly. Today, The cast and crew finished shooting the street pursuit that concludes the film. “It was breathtaking," said Officer Max, who is playing himself for the film. “I had to perform a stunt where I leapt off of one police car onto another and let me tell you, I can now see why stuntmen are so well-paid.”      Unlike the filming for Johnny Thunder and the Secret of Marco Polo , which was frequently running into trouble, the filming for The Adventures of Legoman has been smooth-sailing since it started last Sunday. “So far, it’s been a wonderful experience. Director Simon Jonathon has been really nice to everybody, the presence of Fireman Bill Simon really gives us a sense of security, and Dracula’s not here, so there won’t be any deaths on the set,” stated Clapper Loader S...
